How about setting some guidelines as to what dimensions and filetypes we can use in avatars & signatures. I see my flash avatar isn't working anymore sad.gif

try uploading the avatar again, and let us know. smile.gif I am not sure on the exact dimensions though. sad.gif

Yeah there doesn't seem to be any 'industry norm' as far as dimensions go. Googling give me results between 300 & 600px wide. Its nice when all the signature have the same dimensions though.

Regarding avatars, it's written right above where you change it:
QUOTE
Your avatar must be no bigger than 125 pixels by 125 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 100 KB.
The following file types are allowed: gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, png

For sigs, you can stick in whatever you like but be aware that a lot of people are on dial-up and it's a pain to have to download large images and animations. (I suppose those on broadband don't want to waste their caps either biggrin.gif).

I am not so sure those sizes are still correct. I am sure there are some bigger avs being used at the moment... I could be wrong though. Must double check...
