Hey all, the ashes is currently under way and Australia lead the series 2 - 0 after 2 tests. Quite amazing since the 2nd test looked like it would be a draw for sure. In any event, with 3 tests left can England do anything about the mighty Australia, or will it be a whitewash.

I reckon Shane Warne will reach 700 test wickets, and from all reports the wicket in the 3rd test wil suit spin.

It will suit spin, BUT he has never even taken 6 in a match at this ground, and that is what he needs. That being said I think he will get at least 8 in this match, and 5 in 1 innings.

Well Warne still doesn't have 700 (currently 699), but I am sure he will get there in his home test.
And Aus have won the ashes back. Another convincing win. Hopefully Eng can compete a little more in the next two.

So, it is now 4 - 0 to Australia, and they are looking totally dominant. Is there any hope for England? Will they become the first team in 85 years to be whitewashed in the Ashes? Will they win the next test, and avoid total humiliation? So many questions, but I suspect that it will be a win for Aus.
Interesting to note, that this last victory, which ended in 3 days is going to cost the Victorian Cricket Board quite a bit of moolah in refunds.
This brings me to my next question. Why is it that Australia can have 70 000 plus spectators on a day at a test match, when we can't even get that much in a whole Test?

Well, it looks like Aus will make it a whitewash. The first Ashes whitewash in 86 years. They have really outplayed England though. Will be interesting to watch the next one seeing as Aus will be without some of the top players.
