The ‘is it happening? Is it not happening?’ sequel to 2004’s “Harold and Kumar go to White Castle” has been locked in for a January start, says Production Weekly.

According to the site, “Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam” – where they be smokin’ weed, ya see? – will film in Shreveport, Louisiana with John Cho and Kal Penn set to reprise their roles as Harold and Kumar, respectively.

In the follow-up, Harold and Kumar have to elude the authorities when they’re suspected of being terrorists – the result of them trying to smuggle a bong aboard their aircraft headed for Amsterdam.

Neil Patrick Harris is rumoured to be reprising his role as…. Neil Patrick Harris.

Good news, the sequel has begun shooting:

According to Variety, the sequel to Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle has begun shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Eric Winter (ABC Family's "Wildfire") has joined John Cho (Harold) and Kal Penn (Kumar) in the untitled follow-up at Mandate Pictures and New Line. Winter plays a politician's son who is engaged to Kumar's ex-girlfriend.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg both wrote and are directing the film.

Winter's credits include "Pepper Dennis," "Smallville" and "Love, Inc."

Now if only they could supply the title, so that I could update this thread.

That's something that I struggle to fathom, but then again, those people could be the same people who are not really into toilet-like humour, and I LOVE toilet humour. biggrin.gif

A buddy of mine actually watched the movie like 6 times in one month alone after it came out on DSTV.
naughty
well the first one was one of those movies when you could actually count the moments where you were not laughing - and if you counted those by hand you still wouldnt run out of fingers on one hand

Here's a lil' about the plot...

QUOTE
David Krumholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Rob Corddry, Christopher Meloni, Ed Helms, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Paula Garces, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Danneel Harris and Eric Winter have joined the cast of New Line’s “Harold and Kumar 2”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The sequel is set in motion on the same morning that Harold and Kumar finally satisfy their munchies at White Castle and the object of Harold's affection, Maria (Garces), sets off for Amsterdam. The pair decide to pursue her so Harold can proclaim his love. But when an overzealous passenger mistakes Kumar for a terrorist, the plane is diverted and the boys are off on a new escapade of mistaken identity. From Guantanamo Bay through the Deep South, Harold and Kumar encounter myriad wackos, jerks and whores as they are pursued by the Department of Homeland Security all the way into Bush Country.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote the original "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle," will direct the follow-up from their original script.

No word on whether Brandon Routh, Penn’s “Superman Returns” co-star, has been coaxed into that oft-rumoured cameo he apparently agreed to earlier.

Can't say that it's the most original plot I have heard about, but you can imagine all the shit that will happen and have you in stitches. w00t.gif

At the end of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, we assume the next installment would be Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam,

however on their way to Amsterdam they try to sneak a bong on board the plane and are mistaken for terrorists and thus :

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

I loved the first one, I think Kal Pen is frikkin hilarious and I loved him in both Van Wilder movies 9ok the 2nd one sucked a bit) and he was funny as shit in Malibu's most wanted.

I love stoner flicks and this one should be good too.
