So, yesterday the case is thronw out of court. In the Shaik trial, it was determined that Zuma and Shaik had a generally corrupt relationship.

Shaik appeals, and it is granted, so I guess it won't be long before he is also set free (well, he is already "free" since he ain't in prison).

Yesterday Zuma gets a hero's welcome at Cosatu after the trial as well. So, what's next? Will be run for the presidency of the country?

You gotta love South Africa - country where criminals are treated as heroes. biggrin.gif

If Zuma is elected president then the criminals of this country will be on a rampage.

What's the worst that can happen? They'll become president?

No surprise there.

On another note: we really cannot tell whether he was really guilty or not. All that we heard about were claims made by the media, and not real hard evidence. Just a thought.

From the evidence in the Shaik trial, it was determined that Zuma had been a naughty boy.

Well, they'll charge him again, and this WILL go to court... but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I think he's guilty as sin.

He's a liar, and a thief. If he becomes president I'll seriously consider pulling a Lee Harvey Oswald on his ass.

Yeah, I doubt this is the end of the whole trial / court thing. I don't know exactly what happened but isn't it just sort of postponed?

In the newspaper today it said that Zuma has no plans to run for president and that he will take whatever position the ANC offers him...

This country is getting more and more ridiculous by the day.

If I was found guilty of fraud I'd be thrown in jail to serve my time and yet Winnie Mandela and Zuma and that other bird (the one who took the military plane for her holiday) are not even given a slap on the wrist?

Even that fraudster Yengeni was treated like a hero on his way to PRISON!

The government is just proving more and more that they're not as concerned with improving the country as they are with lining their own pockets.

And they do so at the expense of us law abiding, tax and tv license paying citizens.

It makes me so damned mad! How is the country supposed to improve and develope when it's run by frikkin criminals?

No wonder crime has increased 600% since 1994.

Free South Africa my left nut!

We live in fear everyday and when people are robbed it's lines like "Thank god you weren't raped" that enter peoples minds!

FUCK THAT!

This isn't freedom so much as complacism!

Zuma's case was thrown out of court, but the State wants to open up another case against him.

It will be a waste of the taxpayer's money though, since we know that he will get off again...

Well, that is the trend ATM.

But I do think it's worth having another go at him. I was watching eTV last night (I think) and a LOT of the SMS's received were saying things like: "Zuma MUST be the next president" and "What the people want, the people should get... Zuma for president". What is wrong with people that they can respect this guy?

Yeah, it's laughable that they WANT a corrupt bastard to be their president. Not only that, but don't they realise that this will also harm foreign trade? Who in their right mind will want to invest in a country where the leader was PROVEN to be corrupt and accept bribes... then again, there IS a market for such trade, but at the end of the day, it will all be about Zuma lining his pockets, and the same poor (literally poor) idiots who voted for him will still be unemployed and destitute.

Some of these people even lost their jobs to support Zuma's rape trial. Yes, instead of going to work, they opted to stand out in the hot sun and toyi-toyi for the bastard... wacko.gif

Yeah it is pretty crazy, I guess they do not know better?

this coutnry is full of shit...

I might as well go commit a Heist and like zuma get away with it... oh wait I'm not what you call a ANC Leade/Member sad.gif

It is sad that these people still idolise him. I saw someone driving with license plates that read 100% Zuma. They where illegal im sure, but still even the traffic cops that the guy drove past didnt even stop him because im sure he was to a zuma (doesnt warrent a capital z) supporter.

He will still run for president and win, im sure of it. Dark time ahead if he does, because he is truely about as clever as a damp dish cloth.
