Constant headaches can also be attributed to stress. Are you stressed out at work?

Headaches are caused by the lack of oxygen (and therefore blood) flowing to your brain not? Try to get fresh air, lie on the couch and with ur head down (as in hanging towards the floor) for more blood flow, what medication do you take for headaches?
Lots of things work for different people and you just have to try and find out what is ur thing, if headaches continue you should go to the doctor and get some tests done to see if what causes this.
Also, stress is a bitch and just because you managed all this time with the stress doesnt mean that this should be excluded!

My advice... take a holiday or even just a weekend away, relax think of nothing but relaxing.(if its built up stress)
Changes in the weather usually does that to me, also gives me nosebleeds, it usually happens in August and February but sofar i'm lucky.
Edit: I see you use sinus meds regularly, like Cyfer said, this is just a suggestion, trough that shit away, it kills your'e stomach and colon

I used to get killer migraines.
Eventually found out the it was fruit juice that caused them for me
Think back to before the migraines, eat anything before each one?

Lol... walking around naked will definitely work...... you'll be so cold you'll forget you had a headache

good one wolf...
think back..... my headache just got worse... when i use my brain.. it pains!!! lol
seriously though.... it starts as soon as i wake up normally..... there is nothing i can think of that i eat that would give me the headaches.... maybe its just me and my alien body.... i get really weird illnesses and stuff... rarely a week or two goes by that there isnt something wrong.... from pleurisy to allergic reactions... i've had it all... guess its the curse of being a preemie baby in my case at least... there is always something wrong...

maybe it's a heavy burden that you have on your shoulders... maybe something happening with family member/relatives that's making you uneasy?
When my dad passed away I had a constant migraine... went to doctors, headache clinics etc... nothing helped I just kept popping those Panado's - even tho it didn't work... turns out that I did not realise the how sad/in pain/hurt I was from the experience

well there is something that i am hurting about... something that hurts me to the core.....
but yeah..... i'm dealing with it......
would explain why the headaches started when it did.....
thanks fishy.. never thought it could be affecting me in such a physical way....

I suffer from Sinus and Stress headaches almost daily. Its a real pain (haha), but ive found that a good nights sleep is the best thing to help headaches. Another thing, is good exercise...

Sex releases endorphins in your brain that naturally increase blood and oxygen flow.
But then again, I use sex as the answer to everything

I used to get massive migranes as well, and still do on the odd occaision, but when Ian mentioned excercise as an aid I realized that I haven't had a really bad one since I started working as a divemaster, which entails a lot of physical stuff, so I guess thats my main help.
When I was younger, about std5, I used to get the migranes almost every day, so bad that I would throw up 2-3 times each time I got one. My cure was taking a spoonfull of a herbal thingy called Swedish Bitters, its probably the worsdt tasting thing that has ever been in my mouth, but within a week of taking it, the migranes went away. I couldn't get it in Dubai, because it contains small amounts of alcahol, so thats why the migranes started coming back, and then the excersize seems to have halted them in their tracks, YAH DIVING

Speaking about being sick, how many of you take vitamins? I have been on Centrum for a while now, and have not been sick in a while - apart from the odd headache (cause by being a slave).
Also, I read recently that a study was done in the UK, where it was found that women who take too many painkillers containing paracetamol are more likely to develop high blood pressure.
The are still to study the effect on men though...

Well no matter how you look at it, vitamins are good for you and should be taken even if it just helps boost your immune system.

Im waaaaaay to forgetful to take pills everyday. I used to forget to take my roaccutane all the time.
When I start to feel a little bleh, I nail a fludrex (anti cold and flu pill, kinda like cold caps), take a centrum (or a vitamin C plus a zinc if I have no centrum), and then sleep on it. Normally, I am feeling a bit bleh the next day, but then gone completely the day after that.

I take vitamin C daily (slow release)...haven't had a cold since I started the daily routine three years ago.
I make a point of never missing a day.
Hope you feel better Treshi
Edit: Not sure if it was already mentioned in the thread but apparently these painkillers also weaken your body's natural pain-fighting response.

I would say the same to antibiotics
anyhow I use to take centrum and my body felt good... now I've started again it seems as I was missing a couple of those good old vitamins
P.S Centrum also has Zinc (15mg) that helps the body recouperate from cuts/brusing etc... seems to work for me so now I'll make sure not to miss a day of multi vitamins

Indeed. I heard that they have a major problem in Europe with the virusses being resistant to the antibiotics.
When I am sick, I don't go to the doctor, unless it is something REALLY bad. Some Vicks vaporub and a good night's sleep normally do the trick for me.
Hopefully my immune system has now developed to the level where I can't even get infected with HIV.

well i am on two different anti-biotics and will be so until november... and i cant stop taking it unless advised by my doctor...
i had emphysema and they also discovered that i have some heart problems which they trying to sort out now... i mean i feel fine, much better.. i honestly didnt think i would still be alive today... two weeks ago when i was at my worst... my heart just started beating so erratically, the left side of my body went numb, my arm was paining and i couldnt really breathe... felt like my chest was being crushed.... and i couldnt get up to call anybody, i couldnt move.... and i cried... and as the tears rolled down my face and onto my lips, i couldnt taste it, i couldnt smell anything either or feel anything.... i laid back in the dark, i remember it was exactly 2:45am on my watch.. fearful but calm, strangely enough and i closed my eyes.....
next thing i remember is waking up the next morning.... i was spared... dont take anything in life for granted, dont say things or do things that you will regret... and if you mad at someone right now or not talking to someone who is important to you in anyway.. do something about it today.. because you never know just when your time will come, without warning....

Kinda sad that it sometimes takes a near-death experience to alter your views on certain things.

Aug 31 2006, 12:14 AM
well it didnt alter my views on life... i've always felt that every day i live is a blessing, a gift.... and i always make sure that the people in my life know how much i appreciate them and love them.... the message was intended for other people actually....
i've always been sick all my life because i was born 3 months premature and my lungs were underdeveloped which affects my heart as well..... and i am not afraid to die and if it should come, it comes... i know i'm not a healthy person and that i never will be... and i have accepted that a long time ago.... at least i have been blessed with 22 years of life so far, thats more than alot of other people.....

Sheesh... that is intense......in such a case, i admit one have to be under a doctors care.
I have my reasons for not liking doctors and their medicine, i was sick alot as a kid, and their treatments left me toothless at 18, bald at 20 and living with arthrites like problems, and some other things.
