OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!
WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? THE MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Because a Bush-hating media and Democratic Party would rather see the world blow up than lose their power.
Instead of shouting these accomplishments from every rooftop, they would rather show photo's of what a few perverted malcontent soldiers have done in prisons in many cases never disclosing the circumstances surrounding the events.
We get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at presidential motorcades.
The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves only one purpose. It undermines the world's perception of the United States and its soldiers.
THEY WHO WOULD RATHER SEE TERRORISM SUCCEED THAN A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT.

CNN is doing pretty much the same to Africa. They only show the famine, wars and death rather than what we actually do have.
When you travel abroad and all you get from "home" is CNN, it really gets to you since you know what the realities are, and it is not what you get to see on TV.
Just a thought....

Its really sad actually.
I was thinking about it (after watching the news about North Korea) and, correct me if im wrong, the only president that has some sort of "retaliation" briefcase with him is the president of the US. So that they can strike back if necissary. I mean that attitude is just a full of shit, holier than though attitude.
I also read somewhere else, most americans are fearing who will succeed mr bush, and how long it will take to fix the mess he has made, which evidently is the same as his father made...

Suppose a sadaam or similar asshole decided to take control of the entire middle east- 90% of the world's oil supply- and decided to raise the price 1000% or just not trade altogether. The world would be crippled. The terror stuff, the wars, the sacrificed lives- they are necessary for the survival of 95% of the world's standard-of-living. And the US will control the tap of that oil faucet. This is as basic and clear as it gets. you can argue it, deny it, etc, but it's the truth, and we have to accept it.
10,000 lost lives now guarantee the stability of the world for 500 years. In a utliitarian view, it makes sense.

Me thinks Hunter likes Bush....
I know what you mean dude, totally, and I can completely see where you are coming from. I still think Bush is an idiot though....
I would love for some of these actions to have knock on effects SOON in South Africa ... i.e. Lower petrol prices!
I wonder if we could convince Bush that South Africa and Zimbabwe need liberation? I would love to see some new governments in both places...

Very eye-opening post hunter. Makes for very interesting reading. It just shows that the "subjective", "impartial" news media is s nothing more than propaganda to further some cause be it political of otherwise!

I must be honest in saying that i dont care much for bush. He is a moron and a drunkard. The decisions he makes are stupid and he has the thought process of a dry dishcloth.
Interesting facts though. I think all those things because A, bush knows he has fucked up and needs to make things right, and B, most countries want to side with america since they are the "greatest"...
