Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold the first pictures of Shiloh to People magazine for $4.1 million (NUTS), with all the money going to achildren's charity (they haven't specified which one).

Magazine editors were told to meet at the offices of the Getty photo agency late Saturday night and each magazine went through a night long bidding war for the shots, which were taken by the family at their Namibian hideaway.



I can't believe the amount of money celebrities actually make for photos of their children. Even Britney Spears' photo was a hefty amount. At least most celebrities do a good thing, and donate it to charity.

This is just disgusting imo although the fact that they give it top charity (do they?) is an admirable thing...

I wonder if ALL if it goes to Charity. Wouldn't it just be better to let the press give the money directly to charity, cause I am thinking about the tax implications, like would the payment be considered an "income", and taxed, but then again, I dunno American tax law...

Still, I dunno what's worse, offering so much money for pics, or actually accepting so much cash for pics of your lil' terrorist.

How about just not letting people have photos of your kid?
I wouldn't want the rest of the world to know my kid by sight only a few weeks after he/she was born!

sorry, let me reitterate.

The media causes a frenzy by creating a hype around a celeb.

Obviously people are going to want to know a little about the people they see on the big screen or hear on the radio.

One of the most successful shows on M-Net a while back was lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Why? because as sure as shit I wanna know how the rich live.

I am very against the media however for creating the hype and making idols and gods out of mere men.

Lol. I was reading somewhere that People magazine sold an extra 800,000 copies that edition, but their loss was still over a million after purchasing the photos.
