Easy questions, what songs give you certain emotions. Like goosebumps, crying, laughing, miserable, etc etc...

My list, mostly goosebump songs :
QUOTE

Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye (This is our last embrace. Must I dream and always see your face? Why can't we overcome this and more?)

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah (Originally by Leonard Cohen)

Green Day - Time Of Your Life (For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.)

Smashing Pumpkins , a whole songlist actually. Anything that was on Adore, Perfect, Mayonaise, Landslide, Today, Disarm, Thirthy-Three,.... I just love those mellow songs by them and Billy gives them such a sadness and haunting feeling to them with his unique voice.

Death Cab For Cutie - We Looked Like Giants (When every Thursday, I'd brave those mountain passes and you'd skip your early classes and we'd learn how our bodies worked)

Nirvana -Unplugged In NY (whole album) is just so raw, pure, honest and you can hear the integrity in Kurt Cobains voice.

The Cure - Boys Don't Cry Unplugged (I would tell you, That I loved you,If I thought that you would stay
But I know that it's no use,That you've already,Gone away)

The Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Maps (Wait... They don't love you like i love you)

The Flaming Lips - Do You Realise (And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know, You realize that life goes fast. It's hard to make the good things last)

Nelly Furtado - Try (All of the moments that already passed. We'll try to go back and make them last. All of the things we want each other to be. We never will be. And that's wonderful, and that's life, that's you, baby
This is me, baby. And we are, we are, we are, we are, we are, we are. Free. In our love.We are free in our love.)

Correction, these are all goosebump songs. I am just a sucker for love songs and the breaking up and the trying etc etc. Some of them are also helped by the instrumental side and the way lines are being brought.
I got so many other songs which have personal meaning and remind me of certain moments but for now this it.

Your lists, comments, experiences, hopes, dreams,...Remember, there is no wrong answer to this!

Songs are easier than movies IMO.

Foo Fighters: Everlong An absolute masterpiece! I was lucky enough to see Dave and the boys a few weeks ago, and when they played Everlong, I said a small thank you to Dave... I can now die happy laugh.gif

Green Day: Time of your life I'm not a fan of green day, but this is a great. Everytime I hear this song I'm reminded that there are no new episodes of Seinfeld sad.gif (They played this song in one of the Seinfeld finales) and that all good things come to an end.

Seether: Fine again Reminds me of my drunken days with old friends.

Chevelle: Forfeit or anything else by them actually. They usually tell the truth very poetically, and forfeit is just a stunning track.

Coldplay: Trouble Again a reminder of days gone by.

Big wreck: That Song This song always reminds me to make the most of relationships, people aren't going to be around forever.

Black Eyed Peas: Pump it These guys can make me smile, if only for a short while (cannot listen to their stuff too long) Was also lucky to see them at the end of last year... a very good show.

For me:

Sasha - Wavy Gravy: fell in love with it when i first heard it. one of the more timeless tracks i've heard. If ever there was a time I'd like to be at the beach on a starry night, it'd be listening to this.
Orbital - Halcyon and on and on: Leave me on an island with this track, and It's all I'd listen to tongue.gif
Sasha & Digweed - Northern Exposure 1 (Entire album, both cds): Try leaving this album on and figuring out the track transition points. Amazing to this day.
Phil Collins - I wish it would rain down: another sad song, the words reminded me of splitting up with someone.
Sefiros - 16121: The first half of this track makes me shiver, creepy track with some lonely synths / piano added to it, the rest sucked tongue.gif
David Gray - Disappearing World: Perfect song to sit back on a high balcony and watch the city lights. Listen to the words.
DJ Shadow - Blood on the motorway: The words "You have not betrayed your ideals, your ideals betrayed you, what you gonna do? Your eyes will not close, your tongue barely speaks. But I can still feel you. I can still feel so come come in now, grim let the changes in, grim let the laughter begin...", then the drums kick in with the atmospheric synths. Reminds me of how a friend of mine passed away...
Hybrid - Beachcoma: ever wanted to dream of the ocean and just watch the waves without being there?
Sarah McLachlan - Possession: another very emo song
Oystein Sevag - Norwegian Mountains: No words to describe it, just an amazing piece of ambient new age music.
The Buena Vista Social Club - Chan Chan: amazing track and album, and so close to its roots.
THE SAiNT
KoRN - Twist (This song makes me feel out of control, cool)

Limp Bizket - Chocolat starfish and Hotdog Flavoured Water (brings out all kinds of different emotions in me)

The intro song to the movie 'The Hunt for Red October" (Now this really gives me goosebumps,I wish I was Russian)

Sepultura - Dust (Hey! turn it up a notch!)

Adieu

Juca I absolutly love DCFC - new album "plans" is almost as good as transatlanticism - "your heart is an empty room" is surely goose bump material. Not yet even mentioning the postal service...

Theres so many songs, its really great when you bond with music in such a way that it becomes your daily emotional drug, and you cant get enough of it.

Couple of songs, although theres so many more, these really give goosbumps most prob cos they take me back to ghosts of the past.

QUOTE

"Drink up, baby
stay up all night
the things you could do,
you won't but you might
the potential you'll be,
that you'll never see"

I'll keep stealing breathing her
Birds are leaving over Autumn's ending
One of us will die inside these arms"

I need an island, somewhere to sink a stone
I need an island, somewhere to bury you,
Somewhere to go."

"so, we're alone again
I wish it were over
we seem to never end

You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done"

In the morning light,
I feel,
No more can I say,
Frozen to myself."

My feet on the ground
A pale windless city
A numbness for sound"

Heather Nova - Not only Human:
"Morning is almost here - let it wait
I just want to lie here awhile, tempting fate
I don't think I could breathe now with you gone
But it's not weakness it's just something I've begun"

Jack Johnson - Cocoon
"but this is all that i have, so please
take whats left of this heart, and use
please use only what you really need
you know i only have so little, so please
mend your broken heart and leave"

Jonatha Brook - Because I told you:
"If I gave you the sky
If I laid down my life
Would you believe me then?

If I promised to change
If I carried the blame
Would you believe me then?"

The Shins - New Slang:
"Gold teeth and a curse for this town were all in my mouth.
Only, i don't know how they got out, dear.
Turn me back into the pet that i was when we met.
I was happier then with no mind-set."
