Greetings all

My old Kenwood KDC 4080R is starting to get a little long in the tooth so I've decided to upgrade to new head unit that plays MP3's (off DVD if possible) and has the ability to add an Ipod.
Budget is around 2k so what I'm asking is for any contacts, prices etc from decent local places to buy the unit.
Preferenes at the mo include Kenwwod and Alpine (tho that gonna stretch the budget)

Thanks smile.gif

I'd recommend you have a look at Autosytle, not sure where abouts you're located but their is one in JHB, and one in KZN I think.

Their website will have more info http://www.autostyle.co.za

Just from experience, don't go for a Rockford Fosgate head unit unless you have a lot to spend! I bought mine the beginning of last year, cost R2k, and compared to other makes that costs even R1k, the Rockford has many less feautures, and constantly will not play my Audio/MP3 disc properly.

I say go for a Pioneer, Autostyle has a wide range of Pioneer Head Units, they also have some Alpines thought but I think those are all over the R2k mark, could be mistaken as I haven't had a look at their website in a couple weeks.
