Good evening Vault9'ers!

It is my honour to announce that our team is just finishing with the upgrading all of the boards to the latest version of IPB (Invision) - only Chill Vault remains and will be done shortly. We took a while longer to make sure it was stable and test it well to avoid any trouble, and we've met with success it would appear!

You'll be proud to know that thanks to CrEaTi0n's clever planning we have had virtually no downtime during the upgrade either, and we hope you will enjoy all of the new features and help us squash any final bugs that may be lying around (colouring etc).

Please also note that this weekend we will be upgrading the backend of Vault9, meaning between 15 and 30 minutes of downtime, but we will try and be as quick as possible!

2 Ive already spotted though:

1. there doesnt seem to be a link to the forums from the portal for each vault
2. wtf is with Vault9 posting these adverts everywhere? in the threads themselves?

Edit: Ok found the link in the left. though its pretty subtle. I think it would be a good idea if it said "Gaming Vault Forums" for example instead of just "gaming vault"

Nice job admin peoples - the google ads are gone from the tops of the pages!@# its much better!! if you look at images in gallery though some off the stuff looks a little out of place

I already like the new look. Have to play around over the weekend to check out the new features. I will also have to attack the arcades again. No chance to do that at the new job.

It uploads, but just displays the old avatar.

Fast reply button doesnt seem to be working anymore?

It works, it just doesn't load the page after making the post. At least that is what happens on my side.

Fast reply works fine but appears below the 'similar topics' box. would it be possible to shift the fat reply box above the similar topics box?

can some1 explain why i recently received a blank pm from Wolf which he claims he did not send

it had no subject so i had to send myself a pm to get the url to read a recent pm and when i found it it was empty???



ok well the time on the message is same time as Wolf beating me at 1 of the arcade games
i guess heres another feature poking its head out except its broke
seeing it sends blank subject and blank message body


now theres a feature i have never noticed before i meant to make a new post qouting MY previous post and it comes out as if i edited my post

It does work. Just be patient and loko below the similar topics as HMM mentioned.

Click the button then look below the similar topics. That is where the box you type your reply in appears.

looks like 'vault9' member has been programmed to paste stuck that it pulls from search engines or sites. saw the same thing on gaming vault.

all these news imports "->" some places get quite crowded with them how about making sub-forums called news and stick em in there allowing only vault9 to start topics???

dont forget the rankings page is seriously messed up now dono where it gets all its info from cause its wrong

and the main arcade page is messed up in opera

Edit: the scores mentioned in the rankings page are the same ones as "your personal best"(in game) scores which both are not true best scores

/me wonders how this script works if it keeps 2 versions of best scores

example:
Garage Door Tennis-----141-----933 out of 933-----4548-----62d 18h 5m 53s

that first part of "933 out of 933" seems to be the only wrong thing
and also which games appear where in the select box but i suppose if u fix the 933 problem then this problem fix its self

position 933 has the score mentioned ingame->personal best score (some times/games)
which is not my best probably my first score

Yeah... I have the same problem... and it bugs me to see it every time

Hi,

We have moved all the news import streams into their own subforums and they now wont be displayed when you do a "view new posts", you will either need to view them via the portal, or in the forum itself.

We are looking into the arcade problem/s, and should have the bugs fixed soon.

My only gripe is the huge long list of posts regarding the new arcade champions when you click 'view new posts'

In "my assistant", it used to show: x number of posts since your last visit, and y number of them to topics that you've started. Where's that gone to? :(

The problem with the arcade rankings page is the rank column (bit that shows your position out of total) its shows your worst postion so its something simple like descending must be changed to ascending somewhere ;p
