Everyone hates Microsoft, but Sony has lately become my enemy #1 with the Sony BMG rootkit dilema.
From what I have read the Blue-ray disc content protection is way overboard.
MS has the Xbox 360 and backs HD DVD.
Sony has the PSP, PS3 and backs Blue-ray.

I dont dislike either. MS ftw though. xbox was a superb console and the live service is excellent. and Windows XP works just great for me kthnx.
hahaha with the sony's cell cpu technology PS3 is the way of the future... think of the games and titles they coming with 
MS imho is stupid to the fact that it's a BLOODY PC with a dam RAM, CPU and HDD and LAN connection... might as well plug my PS2 controller into my pc and place xbox titles...

erm the playstation has RAM, a cpu, Hdd and a network connection for playing online.

The PS3 will be the better performer I think, but does that realy matter? What matters most is what games will be available, and which most consumers will buy. With MS selling the Xbox 360 at a loss will certainly make it cheaper than the PS3 I think.
But I dont realy care. My last console was a NES immatation. I when I say it was my last console I mean it....
I only care for the console wars in that it will help determine a winner between HD-DVD and Blue-Ray.
Sony is more concerned with keeping a tight grip on its acorns than it is with giving the consumer what it pays for.
I just wish for the evile empire that is MS to shove its foot up the more evil empire that is Sony's ass!

I dont think Sony will be able to beat the X360's £210 launch price.

Neither is the Xbox 360 CPU. Its RISC based for one.
And being more like a pc is a plus imo. Makes it easier to port games. More games on more platforms for less work.

The latest story is that Halo 3 (for XBOX 360) has been scheduled for release at around the same time as the PS3... just to steal some of the PS3's thunder.

I havent seen a pirated SONY MD player yet...then again...atrac and WMA ...PS1 PS2 PSP against Xbox and 360...Well I suppose Sony have the least original ideas stolen from other companies.
