IT NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

1.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Required to provide backup for current IT Administrator during rollout of Project xxxxxx

To ensure availability, reliability and integrity of all IT resources and systems

• Support LAN/WAN Operating Environment
• Ensure 99.9% environment availability and uptime
• LAN/WAN security monitoring and exception reporting to IT Manager
• Security policy definition, configuration and documentation
• Installation, support and training of general and company- specialised software packages
• Checking daily IT Diary
• Management of external contractors (as required)

2. LAN/WAN Administration and Maintenance
• LAN/WAN environment stability and integrity
• Daily and routine LAN/WAN administration tasks
• Installing and maintaining specialised software
• Maintain specialised financial software and databases
• Accurate change control procedures

3. Incident Management
• 2nd line support
• Ensuring closure on outstanding issues
• Relationship management with users
• Incident tracking report writing
• Testing, documenting and implementation of new technology and systems

4. IT Procedures and Documentation
• Accurate and complete documentation of all system changes as per change control procedures
• Accurate and complete documentation and diagramming of network and system operations
• Step-by-step procedural manual, describing all aspects of IT infrastructure, support & installations

5. Backup to IT Team
• IT Technical Administrator / Help Desk
• IT Manager

6. Report Writing
• Report writing for IT Manager and other as required
• Well written, accurate and timeous reporting

• Reporting to IT Manager

6. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

* MCSE preferred and/or 3-5 years experience in the Information Technology field, with sound Windows 2000 Active Directory experience and understanding of network topologies and infrastructure in a multi-site environment
* Ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN/LAN networking, DHCP, DNS, WINS and Cisco Router basic configuration and troubleshooting experience
* Strong Group Policies, Exchange 2000/2003, SQL 2000, BackupExec experience
* Added advantage financial / banking sector work experience
* Good communication skills are essential.

Position 2

IT TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Required to provide technical administration and office backup
• To ensure smooth running of department’s administration issues
• IT project co-ordination

2. POSITION OF THE JOB IN THE ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Report to IT Manager


3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

4. KEY OUTPUTS OF JOB
A. Technical and Report Writing
• Assist with formalising documentation for service contracts
• Development of customer Service Level Agreements
• Formalisation of IT policies and procedures
• Technical writing for training and support documentation
• Report writing for IT Manager and IT Team as required

B. Helpdesk Coordinator
• Tracking, monitoring and routing of helpdesk calls
• Helpdesk management and coordination of support staff
• Liaising with clients on whether service levels are met

C. Procurement
• Liaison with supplier and service providers
• Compilation of Procurement documentation
• Managing the IT procurement process (ensuring adherence to governance and compliance guidelines)

D. Administration
• IT documentation and filing
• Minute-taking for IT technical meetings and external service provider meetings
• Office administration, specifically related to the IT department

E. Project Coordination
• Assist in the development and implementation process of projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams.
• Work with internal/external clients to gather business requirements and coordinate project plans.
• Monitor projects from initiation through delivery ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Works with a project team responsible for developing and carrying out projects for assigned business unit(s), products, services, processes, and/or technologies.
• Monitors project activities ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information, and providing consistency in content and look and feel across the organisation.

Senior .NET Developer

JOB SPECIFICATION


Designation.: Senior .NET Developer

Reporting Line: Head of Development

Main Purpose:
Responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of the functionalities and efficiencies surrounding the current Online systems as well as the new innovative development of new systems of behalf of both (Customer) and our clients. This will include focusing on the delivery of quality IT Systems, ensuring that the IT systems are developed according to best practice development principles and adhering to a strict formalized development methodology.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time acc to project plans
Keep project plans up to date for all projects
Develop new systems to specification in the .net framework
Compilation of technical documentation
Ensure that all systems developed comply to the clients IT Development Methodology and that all systems adhere to published standards
Any fault reports are solved within 48hr turnaround times
Any new developments are done with the view of maintaining leading edge systems that are scalable and robust within time period on average of 7 days
Telephonic support for all users of the online systems
Create and maintain all documentation in line with the companies IT Development Methodology

Specifications:
Recommended qualifications: MCSD, MCSE
Ideally MCDBA

Knowledge required:
.net
Microsoft N-Tier development experience
ASP, JavaScript, IIS Administration, SSL, SQL2000, XML, Visual Basic and HRML experience
Internet and Intranet Development using structured methodologies
Database Analysis and design

Experience required:
At least 2-4 years experience in system development min 3 years in .net (Commercial Systems)

Competencies:
Essential that this person needs to be self-motivated, perfectioni8st with the ability to deliver consistently, under minimal supervision.
