Its almost time for holidays again, so lots of lanning coming up. So a new hard drive would be nice

I'm looking for some prices on new and second hand SATA 200gb hard drives 8mb cache 7200rpm, if second hand preferably not too old. And I'd prefer Western Digital since I already have one, planning to run RAID if I get one from someone here.

well firstly 380gig of storage when you attempt to backup that's like 100dvd's single sided... not fun... trust me I have 340 gigs that I backed up and that was a biach...

rahter get youself 2x80gig SATAII drives and raid that then use the larger drive for storage

True, but I'd like lots of harddrive space though so when I go to LANs I can just get what I need and not really have to worry about space.

The backing up won't be fun though.

Maybe I'll just save my money and buy 200 DVD-Rs when I go to the shop tomorrow, or maybe 100 will do for now
