I just finished installing my last amp in my car which is a starsound 600w for my 6x9's and tweeters, well the problem is that when you start the engine it starts a buzzing sound, i know that if it is not properly grounded it does this but i changed the ground but still the same thing.

pls help crying.gif

rush - a suppressor helps if you have buzzing on the radio

this problem is more likely to be caused by a dry join in the circuit relating to ground - if you have put on a ground cable exacly as thick and the same quality as your power on the deck and on the amps (since power and ground cables complete the same circuit) - then the only other thing is to connect your outer rca connector to the chassis of the car - try to just place a bit of flex cable between your rca male and female connectors on the outer bit of the connectors only ........... this is ground anyway ........... and then connect this to the chassis

this should in theory equalise the ground potential between the cable and chassis and to the other points on the chassis where you have any equipment grounded

hope this helps - good luck

Basics with car sound,
1. Your ground must be as short as possible, but long enough to be manageable
2. Make sure that where you ground the amp that the area underneath is sanded so that you see metal a good place is under the seatbelt bolt.
3. Never run your RCA cables close to any power cables
4. Special tip twist your RCA cables as this will reduce the amount of interference.

Thanx guys for your help, I think i'm going to put the ground directly into the cap and from there only run one ground cable to the body.

its a bad ground.. no suppressor needed. just buy a wiring kit for your type of car. it plugs directly into your stock harness.
