My trusty AthlonXP system will be 3 years old this December, and so far it's given me good service. Until I bought a 9800 pro in February and a SATA HDD in July, and realised that my generic 300w PSU isn't quite up to the strain.

So, I need a new PSU; something to tide me over until Windows Vista arrives, at which time I'll be buying a brand spankin' new Athlon64 system with all the bells and whistles (including new PSU, case, keyboard, mouse, monitor). Then my 9800pro will go to my younger brother's Barton system. (His system is identical to mine, except with a better mobo, onboard GeForce4 and faster CPU).

I'm currently looking at the Antec PSUs - from what I've seen a 400w - 450w should suffice. Anyone with purchasing advice, post in this thread; anyone with prices, PM me.

In a strange twist of fate, my GPU fan decided to give up the ghost yesterday. So now I need a new GPU cooler as well as a new PSU...

It never rains, it pours, doesn't it?

I have an Antec TruePower 330 PSU which I am selling for R250.

About 1.5 years old. Works like a charm.
