There I was this morning... happily driving along to campus in my baby... (BMW 120d).. pumping 50 cent's candy shop and who decides to cut in.. in front of me... at the freaking robot.... a rebecca mahlope belting, white taxi with plastic for windows and a screwdriver sticking out of what looks like a bus steering wheel... and how did the driver look? i dont even want to go there.. the horror.. anyway..

in doing so... he scratched.. yes people.. he scratched my baby!!! ok so it can be taken off with a good polish.. but it didnt matter! the amount of rage and horror and murderous intent... too great for verbal descriptions... so what did this gal do?

nothing i calmly reversed.. allowed him to move ahead... and then waited for my opportunity becuase chances were that i would see him again that morning... after all it was cape town taxi... where was i?

he stopped along the road to drop someone off.. and as the fellow capetonians should know.. near bunga avenue... traffic is a bitch in the morning... anyway.. so there he was.. trying to cut back in.... so what did i do? i kept him there... driving in the yellow line... until i heard a traffic cop in the distance.. needless to say... mr rebecca mahlope got a ticket.. and i got my satisfaction... he he he....

fish.. me rich?.. nahhh... two of my uncles are BMW managers.. cousins are BMW mechanics... in other words... i got the right connections....

my baby is mine only for another 6 more months.. courtesy of a little something called the rental/mobility plan... you rent a bmw for a period of time, specify the mileage you think you'll drive in that time..

you pay a monthly instalment.. includes insurance and everything else.. and oh... you have to pay for petrol of course.. thats it.. and its not expensive at all... depending on the car you choose of course...
cyfermaster
maybe I should do this for an M3. drool.gif or a Z4... I must investigate
Fishfly
serious? is that how it works biggrin.gif

so like tell me more... over dinner prehaps drool.gif

P.S no I'm not trying to hit on you tongue.gif just need food! cyber doesn't wanna feed me and I'm soooo broke crying.gif

go to BMW Financial Services

they will give you all the info... i think its a great concept since it gives you the flexibility to change the car you drive every 2 or so years... the monthly instalment you pay includes maintenance and insurance.. so you dont have to worry about that... there are also other lease agreements that you could take out...you will obviously have to talk to a dealer of course... tell them what you looking for and your budget..

though i should warn you..a particular bmw dealer here in cape town... is extremely exclusive and snobbish.. my bf went in there earlier this year and was told to his face.. that they dont think he can afford to buy a bmw and that there is no such thing as the rental/mobility plan.... so yeah.. they can be full of shit sometimes...

Fish.. of course we can have a chat about it over dinner...and i'll tell you more over breakfast... lol

P.S. I'm not trying to hit on you.. just need food! lol

The car never becomes yours, and you keep paying? .... no thanks. thumbdown.gif
If you have that type of cash though.....

Fishfly
well it depends, you could be driving a BMW for 2 yeasr and then swap... that way maintanence will never be a problem, and you'll always have a new car w00t.gif

that's a good idea... if you think about it you'll never have a outdated car withuot insurance etc...
Shi-shi
wolf.. you have the option of making the car yours at the end of your lease agreement...
Wolf
Its probably good if you always have a new car, never really worry about maintanance etc. but still, if you alway want a new car you'll never stop paying for a car.
Fishfly
well if you think about it... your car will what last you 10-20 years what can you do with a car that's at that stage? remember it'll prob take you 20 years to pay off that car and then what? new cars will replace yours and you'll get nada for the car you've paid off... then what happens? you go an buy another car and then what happens? you paying off another loan for another 20 years...

so it's a vicious cycle, now if you take this method you'll:

firstly: every 2 or so years have a new car to drive
Secondly: keep paying of an amount as you would for a loan with an added advantage of having a brand new car forever biggrin.gif

only problem is it might get too expensive...
