Michael Jackson has written a charity record for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The track is called From The Bottom Of My Heart, and he hopes to enlist the help of other celebrities to record it. Jackson says he is "reaching out to others to bring relief and hope".

In other Hurricane Katrina news, The Britney Spears Foundation has announced two new grants that will assist in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The first grant will be given to Habitat for Humanity to support Operation Home Delivery, a long-term rebuilding plan for families affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast.
The other grant donation will be given to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Baton Rouge schools could place up to 7,000 New Orleans students in their schools. Their needs are across the board, from school supplies, to buses, to food and computers. They have done an incredible job placing these students and making them feel at home. We are honored to be able to help ease some of the financial burden the school system is facing.
As a Louisiana native, Britney has a long term view to helping those in need and these are only the beginning of their efforts to help those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Michael Moore considers Katrina movie
15.09.05
Controversial director Michael Moore is considering making a movie about the Government lapses that surrounded Hurricane Katrina.
Moore is reported to have said the issue "has all the elements that made Fahrenheit 9/11 such a powerful film ... the political outrage, the human suffering and the incredible footage".
Moore has already lashed out at the way the Government handled the disaster, posting a scathing critique on his website.
"From the bottom of my heart to the bottom of yourdrownedcitywhichcoulntbeavoidedyoudumbasses I send my condolences"
Old moore...what a patriot he is. Getting rich on the suffering of others. Proudly american. I hope he brings out an extended DVD.

Yup, I reckon Moore causes more trouble for people than anything else, shooting his mouth off and creating 'truths' out of pure speculation. Michael Jackson is pretty much just cashing in too Although Britney's move will score her some good publicity (and she knows it), at least she's not trying to milk cash from the disaster.
Hopefully this Katrina single isn't anywhere near as vomit-inducing as 'Heal The World'

Nice publicity stunt for MJ. "Stop remembering about my kiddie-fiddling ways and remember me as the guy who hasn't made a song in years, but I'm gonna suddenly make one now so that I'm remembered for helping the hurricane people."
