You should try put a cd in the microwave, looks cool to watch, looks even coolr once its come out.

My friend and I have tried that... and my it's so kewl 1 sec and you see the sparks fly! 2 sec and you see smoke and 3 sec you have melted plastic which is a biach to clean

Jip, the smoke is a stinker, but the disk itself make for very nice office decoration in the technical department... cause lets face it, the boss isn't going to hang these on the lobby wall.

Just tried it, and mine came out nothing like the photo in Fudzy's post. Still very cool looking result though.

Ravilj: What did ou use to scrape, because I just tried with a needle, a knife and scissors, and its an absolute biatch to scrape off. I expect it would take days to scrape an entire disc clean with a needle I want to make a pretty one

Did you try a compass?

I used the green compas in the picture. The label part of the CD just flakes of quite happily as you can see the little flakes on the CD.
