Medical experts have discovered that hugging makes you healthier and live longer.
The reason for this is that cuddling promotes the release of a hormone called oxytocin, a chemical associated with a range of health benefits. After just 10 minutes of warm supportive touching, scientists have shown there to be a marked increase of oxytocin in the bloodstream, which might explain why married couples enjoy better health than singles.
