Hello people

Just a quick round up of some new happenings.

Obviously with some of our members moving off to greener pastures we have appointed a few new editors and mods.

Also just to explain how and where we are moving to, we are headed towards being a sort of online magazine of sorts but not really but close enough.

The main portion of the sites ( the landing page ) will host featured articles and such from each vault.

The admins are focussing purely on search engine stuff and new fun things. They'll stay hidden behind the scenes passing on the fame and glory to everyone else. They do reserve the right though to pick up any resident groupies.

The user vault9 will represent the admins in times of need.

Each vault has an editor that responsible for articles, staff, issues etc. They also get fan mail and chicks underwear in the post.

Each vault has mods and from here the editors choose their own mods. The mods look after their vaults, some vaulst have a few mods others have fewer mods. The mods are also hip although they dont get the panties, they get occassional days off.

Now to present to you the new guys :

I dunno like rush said apply and they consider usually the forum members give the suggestions for the ppl they wuold like and the admins consider it i.e cyfer for mod

i would say its a combination of how long you been on the board, your experience/knowledge in the section you want to manage, etc.

also sleeping with the Admins (lewks at Toasted) *runs and hides*

so let me get this straight. us editors get to decide and choose mods for the board we edit?

Well don't quote me on this but I would think you'd need to have been a member for a while, building up a decent reputation amongst your peers, and generally being helpful and contributing to the board. Either that or you buy the admins beer.

Mod or no mod, the title doesn't make who you are, the posts do.

Even if I wern't a mod I would still be as active as I have always been. I get reward inside for helping, advising and contibuting to the forums.

And that is the way it should be! Kinda like a donation. You give it because it makes you feel good. Not because you going to get anything in return.

Can i just say something about that real quick?
While i'm sure we all do appreciate the idea and the work that the Admins will be doing behind the scenes, it also brings another concern to light...

I've learned that the more the site Admins are involved with a site, the more the community tends to grow in numbers and... err, 'intimacy/closeness' (without trying to sound homosexual, now). No really, when Admins show interest in their own site by actually taking an active role in participating with the members in things like IRC and Forum Discussions, it automatically acts like a magnet not only to draw new members, but also to encourage posts from existing members. It's just one of those rules of the universe, you know.

Now don't get me wrong, the work behind the scenes is no doubt crucial, but i'm just saying that you guys shouldn't underestimate the value of your own presence on this site/different vaults
