What was key in the decision making? Lack of functionality? Wasted time taken to visit different areas? Because really those are the only things I've gathered from the change.
Instead of having all the sections on one site I have to browse through a number of various seperate websites to achieve the same thing. The username/password factor is a big pain as well, you want to represent one global system yet each site's administration is treated as seperate entities. And last but not least, I worry this change is going to kill off the smaller less popular subsections (such as OS) as there's not as much 'by chance' browsing.
PlanetMars..err..Net-forum...I mean vault9 has provided a great wealth of knowledge covering a multitude of aspects. I just wish it hadn't been dissected like a grade 10 biology frog
