Now I don't want the people on the board to take this the wrong way. Ive been viewing this board nearly every day for the last 3 years since it was still PlanetMars. The jump to net-forums, although the name changed, was a good idea, there were many more enhancements to the site..

This jump is just too big and I can't see myself wanting to come back to this site again. Its cool that you're trying something new and all but the separation of forums and such is just a bit strange, makes browsing the site a hell of a lot more difficult..

Anyway just my 2c worth Its a real pity for more as I really enjoyed this site.

I must disagree I like the split and the new interface, in many ways it is nearly exactly the same. Give it a little more time and you will see that it is not bad at all.

IMO there isn't a better forum out there and these little changes have enabled me to come back to the forum and damn glad I am to be back here

to be honest i really hated it at first and now its winning me over and im really starting to enjoy it... I think it will be back to awesome as soon as they implement the requested changes on the globalview page

I love it. No complaints from me, but I do agree that the changes they are working on now will make it EVEN more enjoyable, as well as make a lot of people happier. nemesis don't give up on it just yet.

This new layout is gonna take some getting used to. Ever since 2002 this site/network has undergone some major changes. None more so than this one. Im not really liking the split topics very much at the moment either but Im sure with a bit a time it'll start to grow on me!

Heres hoping that we see many more guys signing up and posting up a storm.

I must second the motion of against the changes made.
While the face lift is welcome I found it difficult to find my forums. I really enjoyed having one long page with everything listed. And maybe the shoutbox in another page as the damn thing sucked down my bandwidth with the refresh action. So hey I'm a regular (with a fair share of experience of dodging through complex sites..ok porn sites) but a newbie might find it overwhelming.
But thats just one opinion (which doesnt pay the bills )...rather let the hits per day do the talking.

I love the place!
I didnt have any problems to begin with, and Im growing to like it even more.

Well i also hated it quite a bit at first, and thought that i wouldn't really be around for much longer, but after a while everything seems to be sorting it self out! And the forum doesn't feel that much diff anymore!

well its evolving all the time so its gonna keep on improving - so people id suggest give it a bit of time and you wont want to go back to the old methods - this place still rocks as the number one SA tech related site and i think its on the right path to grow - anything new will feel a bit different in the beginning but you dont need all 9 sites open in one go

so for a little while - just be tolerant and things will soon start becoming familiar - i know its hard to adapt to new things - but complacency leads to mediocrity ........ and no im not saying that the old site was mediocre .........but what im saying is that it would have become if it was left alone and this is basically a way of moving forward

imagine if you still liked your old 486 computer running windows 3.1 and didnt want to get rid of it when everyone else starts using 64 bit operating systems with athlon64 dual core chips - change is inevitable in anything tech related so we should at least be thankful that the admin is keeping the site up to date

i agree lots of guys have a sentimental value attached to some forms of the old site - but if we allowed sentiment to get in the way we would still be riding horses instead of driving cars so give evolution a chance

I prefer the new layout. I don't need to scroll down pages of tech stuff I have no interest in to get to the Chill Zone that I so love. It makes sense to me.

To me, this site is now an off topic forum. But a click away its a specialist site for a variety of different topics.

and the tech guys who wanna get hi-tech can go straight there and the off topic is just a click away .............. just gotta love the adaptability of the new interface ......actually its called versatility and now you can adapt the site to suit your own particular needs - everything else is just a click away ........ its kind of like a chameleon ie changes to suit the environment and in this case its no only the color

Initially, it was a love/hate thing I had for the changes, but now, I do see it for the better.

Like Driver (and this is one of those rare occasions where he amd I agree on something ), I like being able to see all the leatest posts in the Chill forum only... but then again, I would like the option to rather have the option to have only the Chill topics displayed in the "today's active topics" link, as well as the Games topics...

That would be nice actually - selecting which forums/sites you woild like to display when you view the topics replied to for the day.

But overall, I like the changes. The colours are more lively, and the look somewhat smoother.
