I know its not the longest relationship in the world, but i hear the 6 month is a pretty important milestone. So any idea's on what i can get her? Im not really keen on spending more that R150. Oh any idea's where i can take her? I live in the northern suburbs of JHB. Thanks

2 rehypnols @ R30 = R60 tube of lube = R20 Assorted condoms = R15 2 Hours at the Formula 1 hotel = R50
look on her face the next morning = Priceless
and you still got R5 change for bus fare
just kidding dude.
I guess it is a pretty cool milestone, for R150 you can get her a nice candle (chicks dig that type of stuff, or bath salts.
Or if you are like me, take your date to a roadhouse.

Can't comment on the gift, but place wise I would go to Addictions in Greenside - reasonably priced for what you get, nice vibe, slightly different, good food.

guys guys guys
flowers and chocolates are over played. Rather get her a flower or a bunch of flowers for no occassion at all, just show up at her door one day , present a bunch of flowers to her and say "I was thinking about you and got you these"
when it comes to anniversarries and shit, chicks are sentimental dont go for flowers that die or chocolates that go to their ass. can anyone say DIAMONDS??

I agree with that one.
If she likes bangles get her a gold or silver bangle and then get in engraved with something.

if it an important milestone, then show u been a good listener. get something that important to her, doesnt have to be fancy, just something special to impress upon her the fact that the past 6 months meant something to you.
First rule of giving gifts: Give something you like.

Great advice - I was amazed by how succesful a relatively cheap gift (CD) was - she'd mentioned a few months (about six months prior) that she liked the CD, so when it came to her bday I bought a bunch of stuff plus the CD - she liked everything, but it was the CD that bowled her over - combined the fact that I listened to her with the fact that I remembered months down the line. So start thinking back.... and in future, pay special attention (and write down!) any arb comments she makes.

Oh in that case get her a big piece of stone with both ur names on it
No no no listen to experience (like me n Rush ) what you need to do is get her something sentimental (doesnt mean something expensive) like one of these little scented candles with a poem written on it, chicks go nuts for that stuff!
Dont repeat DO NOT buy a girl jewelry. Reason? Because the next time its got to be something better.. (so if u buy em a bracelet next it will be a watch).
Dont fall into the trap

I'm sure we're not that picky?
I agree that it's really really really nice to get chocolates/flowers out of the blue. But at the same time, I think that any girl would be content with that for an anniversary?
Well, I personally, wouldnt have a problem with that, I'd still be happy. I didn't expect anything huge, amazing or expensive when it was our 6 months .

Dont ever underestimate the power of flowers. Oh yes, chicks know if you bought them from a street corner. And they dont score you any points!

it's not that, it's just that we don't find it necessary to buy gifts to prove we love eachother? special anniversaries, like yearly, then it's understandable, but otherwise, we don't really think it's that important.
