QUOTE
African National Congress Youth League president Fikile Mbalula at the weekend called Judge Squires an "apartheid judge", while the Young Communist League (YCL) accused him of being a racist because he allegedly dragged Deputy President Jacob Zuma's name through the mud in a 160-odd page judgement finding Durban businessman Schabir Shaik guilty of fraud and corruption.

QUOTE
Did we expect anything else from the judge? He is a cynical, mad person who is still raw because his apartheid existence came to an end. We will never judge our leaders according to the standards of an apartheid judge," YCL national director Buti Manamela said on Sunday

QUOTE
However, it must be a cause for concern when the judge comes under attack purely on account of his race or origins and the judgement is rejected purely on account of this.

I agree with the last quote - I mean WTF are these mofos thinking? He has been found guilty in the court of law but the bloody YCL think it is "apartheid" judge thinking?

Our country is going downhill if the ANC cohorts are going to play the race card over and over again.

I agree. There were some good articles in the Sunday Independant which had a look at Hilary Squires. They generally asserted that he was chosen, among other reaons, because he had no vested political interest in the outcome of the case.

Yes, I agree. Our leaders should be judged by African standards.

A one-party system should be established, and Zuma should declare himself head of state. He should occasionally hold elections in which he is the only candidate. Then when Zuma is said to be worth USD $4 billion he should retire. We should then rename the country and all remaining cities in celebration of what we have achieved.

Luckily for us, these Youth Leagues have no real political power.

They are a bunch of muppets.

But in SA

If you are black and
1)things don't go your way
2) you don't get everything you want on a silver platter
3) you don't get spoonfed
4) you f*ck up and get taken up for it.

Then it's
a) racism AND
b) apartheids fault

I mean DAMN crying.gif when are the people in this country gonna wake up, grow up and decide to go on with their lives, to build a better future.

For crying out loud, it's been 11 freaken years since the "first" democratic election, let the past go already.

If you don't have anything constructive to say then stop blaiming racism/apartheid, shut up and sit your ass down.

This just shows you what i have thought about these "Youth Leaguers" for many a year now. They are a big bunch of useless, uneducated, crass and dont give a fuck mentality kids who have been supposedly voted into power by their peers who whoever knows what reason.

In actual fact im not actually quite sure what particular mandate they all follow, if somebody might clear up that fact, anycase...

What gives them the right to question judgement and the law in this particular case? It is however extremely ironical that these that advocate white racism against blacks are actually in effect doing the same thing in reverse by bringing the Judges judgement in question on the basis that he's a crusty old white "apartheid" judge. It is the ramblings of scared kids who knows that there might be a possiblity that one of their "senior" members (Zuma) might get the axe, and that my friends, wont look to good on the ANC's rap sheet. whistling.gif They are purely throwing up a smokescreen to try an dilute the already volatile situation, and sadly for them, they are just fanning the fire... biggrin.gif

I wonder however what would've been the case if one of the new black era judges presided on this case. I can tell you, because most of them are in the ANC's back pocket, Shaik would've been a free man today, purely because of his ties to the ANC and Jacob Zuma. A big one up to Squires for standing up to the pressure and do the right thing no matter what!

Wow, we are the new Israel.

Critisism levelled our government's way? IT MUST BE RASCISM NO MATTER HOW MUCH PROOF EXISTS!

As sarcastic as that is, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that was the plan.
