* Handling telephone support for our software (including availability to perform after-hours support)
* Software testing of applications we develop
* Remotely solving support problems on our clients' computers
* The opportunity, one experienced, to travel to Cape Town and Durban for software installation at clients
We would require someone who:
* Enjoys the ins and outs of PC's and Windows
* Preferably has some form of technical qualification
* Has experience in customer support
* Learns quickly and is enthusiastic
* Knows what Slashdot and The Register are
This is not a standard contract job. If you make the grade and there is a space we would consider looking at extending the contract and the work. This would include stepping up as a Junior Programmer where you would have the chance to learn ColdFusion, Delphi, SQL, networking and a broad range of other skills under the tutelage of top notch programmers.
We're a small, exciting company based in Johannesburg that develops software used in the retail and banking space across South Africa and overseas.
Salary is R5 000 a month plus an hourly rate for after-hours support.
