I'm thinking of importing some more OCZ stuff, the last shipment was a great success, Tech-Phil has a brand new set of OCZ PC-4000 2.5-4-4-7 Ram pushing in his machine. I'm sure he will agree that this is quality stuff.

Ok deal is I can get anything OCZ so maybe have a look at the website and let me know if you want to order something.

How much for 1 x 512 MB ?
OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Platinum Revision 2

W@RP@T}{
Yes, possibly, I was wondering about that but couldn't find out in the Dealer section how to apply etc. i'm not a dealer but understand the nature of this post and thus accept what needs to be done in order to proceed.

I only bring in things once every couple of months, could the Admin or someone contact me on mail or pm should I need to subscribe in order to post this etc.
W@RP@T}{
Hi Solo, I will enquire, the prices I have only has the Plat Rev2 in 1GB kits.
Simon
R1300??? WHAT A RIP-OFF!! How dare you show your face here?

Okay, sounds good. Let me know whats happening closer to the time of ordering, I will see if I still want.
W@RP@T}{
Hey Simon smile.gif

I take that as sarcasm biggrin.gif I will keep you updated. Is that a good price? i'm not too clear in the loop of the range of top memory in regards to price, all I can do is work from the prices my contact has given me smile.gif
Fishfly
hahaha simon...

well if this isn't for personal gain I think the admin woudn't mind but just ask first.

Which are the ones that will do DDR400 at 2-2-2-5 Timings?
ZENiTH
Which of these are best for benchies?

OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Dual Channel Gold
OR
OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum

ermm.gif

W@RP@T}{
Well of course I cannot lie, I wouldn't be doing this for free standard rules of business. It wouldn't make sense.

There is however no suppliers of OCZ in SA and these products are very rare here so I guess there would be personal gain on my side and on the buyers side?

Fishfly the ones you are talking about are the same as Solo asked for, they are really expensive though, more than a set of the Gold Edition DDR 500 PC-4000

http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memo...inum_revision_2

OCZ Platinum Edition Revision 2 PC-3200 memory has been designed for ultra-low latency operation on Intel Pentium 4 and AMD AthlonXP/Athlon 64 platforms. OCZ Platinum Edition PC-3200 memory is able to reach latencies as low as CL 2-2-2-5.

OCZ PC-3200 products are 100% hand-tested to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards. In addition, each OCZ Platinum Edition Revision 2 module also comes with a high quality copper heat spreader with a platinum mirrored finish.

OCZ Platinum Edition memory modules are rated to handle up to 2.9V without invalidating the OCZ Lifetime Warranty so that performance enthusiasts can tweak their systems without worry.
W@RP@T}{
Hi Zenith

Unfortunately I am no pro in this regard, you will have to ask the experts, although I got some awesome scores etc. with the Gold Edition PC4000 running on my AMD64 3200+

This will give you an idea of what I was managing to push

So what's the pricing of those RAM?

Ok Fishfly if thats what I must do, thats what I must do smile.gif how much is membership?

Looks like they will be R3200 or less at a rough guess for the 1GB kit

Based on your setup i.e. 250 FSB + I would look at the OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Dual Channel Gold Rev 2 rated to do 2.5-3-3 at 250 MHz or the PC3700 Rev 3 which basically uses the same chips and overclocks to DDR500 most of the time as well.

You can take a Premium Member automatically in your Control Panel smile.gif

W@RP@T}{
The 3700 Rev3 is in the region of 3K maybe a little less.

The OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Dual Channel Gold Rev 2 is the same price as the OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Platinum Revision 2

Tx solo...
Thought so too... (OCZ EL DDR PC-4000) but how will it perform on an AMD64 platform? I see youre using OCZ 3700... any particular reason?

Mine is the enhanced Bandwidth modules. At 3-3-2 they offer the same memory bandwidth at modules doing 2-2-2. So thats basically DDR466 rated at 2-2-2. Awesome stuff.

Stopped making them now though I hear.

With the newer A64 motherboards I would stick with the PC3200 EL Rev2 2-2-2 for versatility i.e. 2-3-2 up to around 220 MHz and can do 3-4-4 at 300 MHz and above and uses only 2.8 volts to do it smile.gif Only thing is they are not cheap sad.gif

I reckon the PC4000 rev2's at 2.5-3-3-7 could smoke the competition as well smile.gif Solo is right there is only 3200EB on my list looks like no 3700EB anymore only the EL and Standard

All I can say is that all of their products are at the top if not very close to the top in their ranges.

You have to see the modules to believe the quality, you can see your reflexion in the dimms like a perfect mirror of Gold.

Haven't seen a set of the Platinums yet so i'm not entirely sure what they look like smile.gif

The most impressive performance with 3200 Platinum Rev. 2 was the ability to run at a 1T Command Rate at DDR580 - the highest 1T performance achieved in this roundup. At that speed, performance was truly exceptional, with the highest benchmark results achieved.

Warpath, how long before you have stock?
W@RP@T}{
I would like to get a order together first so as soon as I have about 5 confirmed orders and deposits (with this interest it should be fairly soon smile.gif ) I will make the order, last time the products took less than 2 weeks to get here.
ZENiTH
Cool, biggrin.gif

Warpath, please could you update your first post with all the relevant pricing asap!?

I'll quickly go have a look at my bank account... tongue.gif
W@RP@T}{
Ok, put on approx prices, they will be very close to what I have put down and as per my previous dealings I will not go above what I have put down, so if you see approx R2K then you will not pay more than that i.e. more than the stipluated amount. (unless I made a real boo boo and said a 1GB kit of PC-4000 is R3 instead of R3K or whatever, you get the jist wink.gif )

i have a 530 watt psu that only set me back like 700. for anyone else wanting the best psu arround then give the ocz a try. i'll wait a bit before i get an upgrade
W@RP@T}{
The OCZ's are a pile of cash, but it's not a A-open smile.gif They are very pricey but are rated the best ATM

Also the weight factor of a PSU when shipping puts the price up quite a bit as these are heavy beasts too.

I can get those OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum 1 Gig kits for about R400 less. That includes everything, but it is still to expensive. Now I have ordered some Crucial Ballistix and I will see what they can do...
W@RP@T}{
You sure those are:

OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K PC-3200 EL Dual Channel Platinum Rev2 1G Kit 400MHz 2-2-2-5

and not

OCZ4001024ELDC-K PC-3200 EL DDR Dual Channel 1G Kit 400Mhz 2-3-2-6

also is that with factoring in all import duties bank charges shipping, wire transfer fees etc?

I will say no more. whistling.gif

Hey All, if I get 3 orders for these I can give them away at a really decent price. Approx R2700 per set
