PURPOSE / FUNCTION
To produce and manage content (text and images) and data for highveld.co.za, 702.co.za and 567.co.za in line with the business objectives of the department.

Online Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Producing content (both text and images) for highveld.co.za, 702.co.za and 567.co.za, to ensure we meet our business objectives.
KEY OUTCOMES
CONTENT
The job will require the producer to work with the online production team to:
· Input and upload content to highveld.co.za, 702.co.za and 567.co.za .
· Liaise with programming and marketing departments to source content (on station competitions, functions, events and features).
· Create and manage the online competitions (within a given framework).
· Contribute to creative methods and executions for displaying content and enticing impressions.
· Ensure that a high standard of written English is applied to all content.
· Ensure the site conforms to the brand images of all three(3) stations
· Constantly monitor the site, updating, revising and editing existing content.
· Respond to comments received by the Webmaster email address.
· Contribute to conceptual architecture of site.
· Contribute to consumer development of the site.
· Assist in infrastructure maintenance, including: Monitoring of the audio streaming;
· Site maintenance, development and testing;
KEY PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
· Adhering to the Primedia Broadcasting Formula in all operations
· Meeting all deadlines.
· Working fast and accurately.
· Ensuring cooperative liaison with other departments, and colleagues in the online department.
· Ensuring all station events and activities are covered in a manner that ensures maximum exposure for the brand.
· Ensuring accuracy, attention to detail.
· Listening to the stations
· Ensure the site reflects the brand image.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
SKILLS REQUIRED
· HTML
· PC Graphics skills
· Graphic Design / layout skills
· Excellent English writing skills
· Dreamweaver
· Photoshop
· Corel Draw
· An understanding of internet related technologies.
· Ability to write well
· Ability to work in, and contribute to, a team
· Must demonstrate an understanding of the brand, and an appreciation for the role of radio and its interaction with the internet.
· Must display lateral thinking, with good problem solving abilities.

EDUCATION
· Minimum of matric qualification
· Formal and informal training to support the skills required.

EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 1-2 years experience in field
A portfolio demonstrating practical work in the following is required:
· web sites
· art work / graphics
· writing

PERSONAL QUALITIES
· Energetic and vibrant
· An inquisitive mind, keen to investigate new developments.
