Item being sold: Abit NF7-S rev.2 mobo
Location: JHB
Who will handle shipping costs: Buyer
Selling price: R400 neg.
Reason for selling: Doesn't like my setup sad.gif
How old is the product: a year or so

I've never had any problems with this board until I changed to a SATA drive. For some reason it doesn't like my particular setup; Fishfly has the same mobo and hdd's and his machine runs fine.

It overclocks very well, and it has been modded for some serious speed: passive heatsinks on the mosfets and southbridge, and a retail AMD hsf on the northbridge.
Fishfly
Ferret are you sure you setup your system correctly???

I've had no problems OC to 3200+ unlocked barton and still no problem!
RustPuppet
I can o/c no worries Fish, but I've battled for ages to get decent SATA support and I'm sick of it angry.gif

I've just got hold of 2 WD 120 SATA drives, so I need a board that has a better SATA implementation, that's all. The board itself is fine, works ok with IDE.
Fishfly
huh? there's nothing worng iwth the implementation tho??? what you mean?
RustPuppet
Fishy, it's something to do with my entire setup, something is not gelling sad.gif

Anyway, enough spam, let's keep the thread on topic (a first for you Fish biggrin.gif). As I said before, the mobo is fine, just not in my setup sad.gif

CrazedFerret have you flashed around with a few BIOS's
RustPuppet
Yes, I have done everything in my power to get everything to work together; I even posted on the Abit forums and the resident gurus there even suggested I sell it since they couldn't figure out what was wrong sad.gif Now I'm selling the board, simple as that.
