Directed by Oliver Stone, starring Colin Farrell (whom I hate), Angelina Jolie and Val Kilmer (whom I also hate), this movie is based on the true story of Alexander the great (no, this is not a story based on your life, Ninja Mo) who basically went on to conquer most of the known world before he hit the age of 30.

Sadly, Farrell plays the great one, which already sucks, but hopefully he can pull it off. Regardless, we will have to wait until at leaset November to check this one out (officially anyway ).

Colin Farrel doesn't irritate me too badly ... but Val Kilmer sheesh, where did they find him?

The trailer for this makes it look interesting, and it can't be any worse than the recent 'epics' I can think of like Arthur and Troy.

Back page of the Star today says that the movie had to be re-edited to remove the rather raunchy gay sex scenes.

Alexander was said to be a bisexual and Stone thought it a good idea to put that theme across quite strongly.

Meh. These 'epics' may have been somewhat exciting before LOTR but now they are just lame ponies in a pedigree horse-race.

(Especially Arthur, what they fuck were they thinking removing all the mythical aspects of the story? Thats what made the story so compelling in the first place! Fuck you Bruckheimer, may all your offspring conspire to kill you)

I can't stand Angelina Jolie. Apparently this movie is closer to the legend than Troy. I cannot wait to see it. I have read so much about Alexander that I nearly feel Greek.
