Yeah, they're at ogrish. I am entertained by some freaky shit, but I saw a video with those beheading things and I hope I never see one again. Was a bit much.
killerkevin
Ugh, its terrible, my one friend downloaded it and put it into his funny folder, supposedly because he had 'nowhere else to put it' , FREAK!
hOOliGan
Here's a question, how many of you calling this guy a freak actually watched it yourself?
THE SAiNT
I've seen a vid of a beheading but it was taken a while back, before the Iraq war. These people just don't give a sh!t.

spoon
OK I got the video, but I can't see anything on Windows media player for Windows XP Pro. Any sugestions. And by the way, I'm not a freak, it's just that they've got it all over the news and I wanted to know what it's all about.

Cheers

This is some freaky stuff...

Paul
I refuse to watch it, someone once sent me another clip from ogrish, the one with the chechnyan soldier that gets stabbed in the neck then beheaded with a rambo knife, I had nightmares after that. its not normal to look at shit like that
aquadog
its preference. It doesn't make you a freak if you look at it. Curiosity = curiosity.

I guess doctor's are sick too because they choose to work with patients who got their arms ripped off in a car accident, or undertakers are sick because they chose to take the job of burying people, and those autopsy guys are sick too because they cut people up to find out why they died.

c'mon, dont judge the guy because he's curious about the stuff.
RustPuppet
Wanting to watch the slow and brutal death of another human being isn't what I'd consider normal. If you have some sort of bizarre preoccupation with things like that I can promise you you're not normal.

Preference? Maybe. Then again, doctors help the sick and injured (and take an oath to do so), and autopsy guys are dealing with cadavers; there's a big difference between cutting up a dead dude and someone who is very much alive.

I'm not gonna scream 'freak!' at spoon for wanting to watch this, but it's not exactly what I'd call the norm :/

Hi Guys
I supose I shouldn't have started this topic, cause it's rubbing up some people so if anyone with authority please delete this post. And I'm not sick, please, I'm just cuirios. Listining to 5 fm yesterday just interested me in this topic so please delete it.

RustPuppet
No, you're entitled to your opinion; although, what if some 14 year old reads this topic, follows the link and has nightmares for a month? There was a whole debate when this video first came out about posting things like that here, so let's not bring it up again.
aquadog
okay...

I wanted to see the Iraqi beheading videos because I was

1. Interested to see what all the hype was about
2. Wanted to know if it was really as bad as everyone said it was

My curiosity was satisfied after i watched it. Does that make me "not normal" ? fuck i hope so.

Whether it is sick or not is another question which i assume is subtly rearing its head in this topic. No, i'm not a sick person for looking at it. I have a good understanding of whats right and whats wrong, and you wont catch me going out into the streets and beheading another human being like that, because I do think it is wrong and sick, even though i wanted to watch the video clip.

There is a difference between wanting to watch it and wanting to do it, as well as watching it and enjoying it compared to watching it for curiosity's sake.
Paul
nothing wrong with your curiousity at all.

I was also curious and then watched the one I mentioned. I didnt enjoy looking at it. but yeah each to their own I suppose, but not a single one of us here can take that from you so dont sweat it sppon wink.gif
sa1nt
The fact that spoon wants to watch this video does not make him sick. The fact that spoon listens to 5fm, now that makes him sick smile.gif. (Just kidding man)
Ninja Mo
You watch killing every day, on the news, on films, everywhere.

The only difference, is you know this person actually died. Millions of people watched passion of the christ.

In all honesty, I watched that russian snuff thing Rush was talking about, I saw it, I yawned and I went on with my life. It doesn't make you weird. On the contrary, if you learn a valuable lesson from it, and the act itself revolts you, all the better. Gives some perspective on how truly disgusting humans can be.

No worry there!...im keeping weel away from that sh!t!! tongue.gif

No, really, the last thing I would want to do is download and/or watch a video of some guy getting killed, in the movies, its ok...nobody really dies, but real death scares the poop out of me. sad.gif
Troopa
ok i watched it.. the beauty of broadband is somone can paste a link on irc, next thing u got a fully buffered video playing, saw them go for it, dood gurglin and stuff and closed it. i would never have gone and asked for it, or probably downloaded it had i seen it online, especially not ask for it in a forum. "heard it on 5fm and wanted to know what it was about" im sure 5fm said it was about a grusome beheading, not shown on tv because its so terrible, im sure the guys family loves people going to download the video of their sons death because they get some sort of morbid entertainment from it.

sorry bout the bad writing, spaces paragraphs caps etc... but the topic was not worth the effort.

I hadn't seen one of the videos before this topic was started so I was also curious to see what it was all about. I downloaded the recent one of the Armstrong guy and I must say, it really is some horrid stuff. My body went all tense and stuff for at least half an hour after I saw the video. People who do this stuff need help, and lots of it.

This debate happened a couple of months ago and people should remember how I feel about it.

The following links are not on however.

This shit should never have been broadcast on local or any news station.

ETV

SABC

Hopefully something serious is going to happen to the people in charge of news at these two stations.

I hear where you are coming from and to a degree I agree with you.

However, I think the videos should be broadcast, but there should be valid warning to those watching. What the SABC did was wrong and those responsible must be dealt with. I dont think firing them is the right way though.

I would hate to be the parent of a child who saw the video. I reckon it would seriously traumtise the youngster (probably traumatise some adults too).

END!

I feel the same way as Driver does.

If we show this stuff to the public, they will know what really is happening over there, and know about what kind of people we share planet earth with.

But ya, I also went a little tense when I saw these for the first time!
capn
It doesn't matter what you think, it is illegal to broadcast that in South Africa today. The footage should not be broadcast on any public television service period.
Driver
BCR, I dont believe that it is illegal. Te BCCSA makes provision for the showing of such footage. But note, I do agree that what happened on SABC 1 was wrong and they are to be held responsible.
