Has anyone watched The Terminal. It is a very good movie, starring Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta Jones, and directed by Steven Spielberg. Hanks is his usual brilliant self, and Catherine Zeta Jones as sexy as ever. If you get a chance, go watch it, it stands a very good chance of winning a Oscar.

I give it 8/10.

Any comments?

Thought it was awesome! My rating is a 9/10, thought Tom Hanks was brilliant, Spielberg was his usual awesome self

I’m defiantly going to also give it a watch.
It’s something different you don’t see everyday and a very unique story line.

Guy stranded on an island after his plane crahses.
Guy stranded in airport after he loses passport.

Nah no similarities there.

i saw the BBC documentary on the basis for the movie, and it's actually a sad, sad story... there is a guy living in an airport (heathrow i think) and he can't leave... he's been living there for 16 yrs or something... the poor guy.

haven't seen the film yet tho... want to see arthur first (kiera knightly drool.gif )

Haven't seen it. To tell the truth, it does not interrest me. Taking no credit away from the movie though.

I'm waiting for ANACONDAS, RESIDENT EVIL - APOCALYPSE, THE FORGOTTEN and THE GRUDGE

Can you say, the calm before the storm...

Anacondas? Resident Evil?

Dude, you need to spend your money more constructivly.

I agree. Do you really think Resident Evil is going to be better than the first one? And Annacondas? WTF. Can't comment on the other two though.

True, there are some similarities, but it's way more satisfying perving over Catherine Zeta Jones than Wilson the VOLLEYBALL.

charles de gaulle airport - paris, france.
the true story has been watered/dumbed down considerably for hollywood consumption, too. the guy was actually in the airport for 16 years (and is still there even after being granted asylum).

yeah. money doesn't buy taste. i've watched some shit movies in my time, but i can look back on those experiences and know that i'm now gifted with a bit more foresight to predict a crappy movie.

nope. shares a name with the asimov novel and has about as much in common with the actual book, as a harrier jump jet has with a fried egg.

I am suggesting that these films do not deserve to make money. Because if the do the Marketing departments will think people like them and make MORE crappy movies.

And yeah, I seen Res Evil. One of the worst movies of all time.

I just recently spent 15 hours in that airport, and I fuckin hated it. It is one of the most boring and unfriendly places I have been to. I couldn't imagine having to spend 16 years there.

Sometimes I go watch a movie just to relax, you know, watch a movie for movie watching sake.

I've seen it and it's great. Good special effects and the interaction between actors and robots are very well done. The AUDI they used looks a bit weird though. I liked Bad Boys more maybe because it had a PORSCHE in it?

Tom Hanks is an excellent actor, not just with co-stars, but also on his own, this is one of the features of him that makes his movies unique and excellent...

I watched this movie the other day, and it was actually quite enjoyable. It started out with a sorta cult feel to it (like Phonebooth, but in an airport), but unfortunately it degenerated into a romantic comedy with a fairly predictable storyline. Nevertheless it made for something different, but I would've enjoyed it more if it had been given a darker edge. 6.5/10.
JuCa
Watched and enjoyed it...the beginning is pretty good when Tom Hanks (Victor) doesnt understand english at all, it was really lighthearted and even Catherine wasn't that bad in this movie!
