You mite as well mention how often you do so...

I shower :-/. Bathing is so gay tongue.gif
Ravilj
I shower before i go to bed... dont like sleeping dirty... than have to have a shower in the morning to wake up else i dont get to varsity :/
Surge
I bath - an I am not gay.

Bathing helps to reduce the blood pressure by up to 10 points, and it is a good wake up call in the mornings.
purEvil
Shower in the morning, some nights.
septic
Shower in the mornings...go to bed dirty....I mean my dreams are dirty so might aswell sleep dirty.
Milano
Shower is my choice unless i don't have access then second choice is a bath. Third choice is licking myself like a cat tongue.gif In an ideal world that job would go to Charlize Theron.

For sure - that is why a bath leaves one more refreshed than a shower...

My name is not George Walker Bush, so I don't tell lies at random. biggrin.gif

I shower as often as I can. Bathing takes too much time, even though it's enjoyable. So basically I shower twice a day.
hunter
Shower, 4 times a day
Morning, lunchtime after gym, when I get home and just before bed
millennia
Well considering my house doesn't have a shower i guess i vote for bath tongue.gif

Every morning.
T.I.M
shower, mostly 1 to 2 times per day depending on how hot the weather is and if i was excersising.

i only bath when i want to relax with my gf in one or when i have had a nasty crash on my mountain bike.
acronym
In winter I shower in the evenings.

In summer I shower morning & night.
RustPuppet
Who the hell swims/rubs downs/uses deo as a primary cleansing method?! Damn Rav, I hope you're not talking from personal experience unsure.gif

Showers are the best, quick and effective.
Ravilj
Feret I was catering for you but I see you've changed your ways tongue.gif Nah had to give some other options... hehe

I dont like baths cause you sit and stew in all the dirt sweat and other rubbish you have justed washed off :/

...and you tend to fall asleep more easily in the bath than the shower biggrin.gif
vet-gat
shower at night, no time in mornings, on weekends shower in morning bath in evening (baths are so calming, perfect)
Mithras
I shower in the summer; I bath in the winter.

I know someone for about two years, he stays down the road from me and I have yet to see him take a shower. He doesn't smell or anything, but can you imagine! He normally takes a swim as a way of cleansing himself properly. Too bad if it's winter. I guess it happens like that when you're a pom. In England, or so I've heard, personal hygiene is not top priority as it is in SA.
I get the impression of them powdering themselves down with baby power (under their arms especially) and off they go. Obviously it's not 100% true, but with regards to my English friend, well, he obviously has better things to do than shower.
Simon
As of typing this, I haven't cleansed myself for more than a week, I just use roll-on deodorant to mask most of the smell. Its convenient and doesn't waste water.

Another added bonus is that I don't have to put gel in my hair as its greasy enough to hold pretty much any position I put it in.
CC
Tasty.

Erm ermm.gif

I hate feeling greasy so I shower once or twice a day, bathing is relaxing but I dont feel as clean as after a shower. I have even gone and rinsed off in the shower after a bath before because I felt unclean still.
RustPuppet
Damn Simon, and you wonder why you don't have a girlfriend :/

That's just gross dude sick.gif

Dude, don't judge an entire nation on one person. If i did that i'd think all South africans washed once a year :/

showers are the best. i think it's far more hygenic that sitting in ur own goo that u've just washed off - i mean, with bathing u basically just spread the dirt evenly all over u tongue.gif

i think thats the point of soap though. It keeps the dirt from sticking to your body after you've washed it off.

no, the point of soap is to get the gunk off u, doesn't keep it from sticking back on again. tongue.gif

I found, that those that come from europe take a few months to get it into their heads that in SA a shower per day is necessary. I get the impression that a deo replaces 2 out of 3 showers in europe(No offence intended, it just does not seem necessary in europe). Every second teacher we get here is from Germany so it can get pretty annoying until someone tells them about the daily showering... 2guns.gif

I shower daily sometimes twice.

Concerning the soap: I though the idea of soap was to bind with the fats cause they don't come off with water. Or did soap take apart fat molecules... can't remember. Besides, there is so much bloody water and so little dirty (hopefully) that it does not matter really.

Showering isnt different. The water runs down you and does not even reach all places, usually.

hahaha he must attract the most worthy ppl tongue.gif or could be ghey biggrin.gif

I love bathing or showering... although sometime after a bath I rise myself with a shower head after a good bath just to ensure that the muck doesn't stay on me.

the reason fats and oils (the main components of dirt and sweat) don't come off with only water is because they are hydrophobic (they have molecules on their surfaces that actually repel water).

soaps have various functional molecular groups that bind to water and fats... this is why they clean you. the functional groups of the dirt have higher affinity for the soap molecules, so they would rather bind to the soap than to yr skin. when you wash the soap off, it takes the dirt with it as well. that's also why bathing is not so bad. even though you are lying in yr own dirt, most of it can't bond to yr skin cos the water molecules surround it and hydrogen bond to the hydrophilic groups (the one's that ike water and bind to it) of the dirt.

so if ya think you can just rub water on yrself and expect to be clean afterwards... think again.

they asked a question, i answered it. i've just sat through a whole 2 hour biochem lecture, so i'm feeling kinda biologically inclined laugh.gif.
Simon
Yes well when we are all sitting around with no water because you people wasted it on something stupid like cleaning yourself, I'm gonna be the one saying 'I told you so'.

I showered last night, is that okay?

Its amazing how my bathing habits can bring my sexual preference and even choice of school into question. Hmmph, and you lot call me immature.
Lucien
I hate showers - Always feel cold afterwards.
Hence I bath, I love it smile.gif
Mornings (Weekends) / Evenings (Week)

Tried the Swim thing - It works to a certain degree - Works OK if you've got a bab. Otherwise no.
And I don't think washing your hair in da pool is such a good idea.
