So today I picked up this movie called Shaun Of The Dead. When you mention the title you obviously think of another movie series, Dawn Of The Dead, Night Of The Living Dead and Day Of The Dead. All classic movies by George Romero. That is where the reference comes in...ZOMBIES (Shhh don't say the Z - word).
This movie is a comedy, a British comedy with the undead in it.
And a pretty funny one aswell if I may say so. This is a perfect mix of humour and the excellent use of classic zombie smashing. This movie won't change movie making or even the way you think but it will entertain you for the full 90 minutes (more or less the running time). It will not scare you and it doesn't take itself serious.
Before I watched this movie I had only seen a trailer and one clip of it and it looked promising. Luckily I rented this one out and got a great movie experience.
Look out for some funny scenes
Think Queen - zombie bashing in one sentence
Record Collection - killing zombies
The Escape Plan (just the way he looks at the end of every plan is funny enough)
Swingball and stopping yet another zombie.
I won't get into detail about the plot (it is kind of predictable and only used in the last 800 zombie movies made). So let me know what did you think about this movie?

Well, that makes sense (seeing as the movie is British). It only got released recently in the USA in the theatres. You can't say it is better then Dawn Of The Dead (which was also very entertaining) cos the two are different (and yet the same in a way). Anyway....

I know that. I just thought I will give my 2 cents. I have seen neither of the two movies yet. Which one should I go see first?

Shaun of the Dead is really good but Dawn Of The Dead is also great so yeah..maybe watch both at the same day? They are both recommended by me although Shaun has more of that personal movie feeling while Dawn Of The Dead is just a cold Hollywood production (which isn't bad). Just thought I would share that!
And your input is welcome I was just merely saying the differences

I was a little disappointed with Shaun of the Dead. There were some funny parts though, especially where they are throwing the records at the zombies. It could have been a lot funnier though.
