hello ppl. just thinking that we should get together sometime.

post date suggestions and venue too.

my suggestion involves driving to hermanus where we can have an internet cafe/bar/bistro to ourselves for the day. we can play games, drink happy hour priced beer, watch the grand prix and generally just stuff around. hermanus is a great place for a day trip as there is plenty to do and see. pooling transport resources would be a good idea to save on gas bills. i will try and pay for the venue which is normally closed on sundays.

i'm thinking sunday the 5th or 19th

anyone in?

yes it is far. hey i could always come to cape town. i just thought that hermanus is a good getaway and there is this cool venue here. lift clubbing could help alleviate the transport issues.

I have a car and will be able to take 4 people with. We share the pertol bill and enjoy the day in Hermanus. Just need to set a date that will suite everyone.

Well, I have a UNO, so i guess I'll be able to take 3 people with.

Let's just see how much it's gonna cost to stay there, petrol costs, etc etc

petrol in an uno should be about R75 or less i would guess. it is possible to leave after breakfast, arrive before lunch have fun the whole afternoon and then drive back early evening. it is not necessary to stay over allthough making a weekend of the trip would be cool as there are beaches, whales and plenty of other stuff to do. it is really a lot like a long commute. i often go to cape town in the morning and return later the same day

I'de go for an entire weekend, not just an afternoon.

ppl will just have to get to somerset west to pile into my car (its on the way).

yea. come after breakfast and stay till as late as you like. the coast road on the way back is a treat at sunset

hey if you can find accomodation then come for the weekend. lets see if someone has a holiday house in the next week or so. i'm thinking the 12th of september would be good. the whale festival starts on the 23rd so hermanus will be totally packed for the weekend of the 19th
