What is it with people posting threads saying 'worst bands' or 'worst albums'. If you want to discuss this, discuss it don't just post names. Say why, or why not. It's no good saying your balls are bigger than the next guy's purely because you think so.

Fair enough, but the least a person can do as state WHY they don't like it. That way you don't have a thread full of statistics on who dislikes what. I know many forums where there were in-depth discussions on topics like this, with some very good points on the artists themselves. There were some posts where the artists actually replied themselves to the opinions and actually acknowledged the people posting their opinions.

Many of these discussions were on the artists' actual site and some very reputable sites: progressivesounds.com, tranceaddict.com,mio.co.za just to name a few.

In my turn I will say fair enough about the opinion / reasoning behind why you dislike a band/artist!

So here it is :

1. Linkin Park : Just because the angry/scared/not fitting in thing has been done a million times before. Surely they have a good combination vocal/guitar/drum wise (not always though) but the mere fact they stick to the winning formula irritates the crap out of me.

2. Backstreet Boys : While I envy their success (or their money on their bank accounts) I cannot live with the whole idea of doing it myself or even enjoying it. All that is behind them is a good team of marketing/producing/editing/merchandise. Nothing more nothing less. I mean...do you still hear about them (Besides rehabs stories and violent behaviour?)

3.Limp Bizkit : Must be some kind of turnoff because little teenagers/kids like it for the wrong reasons. While I appreciate their tunes from time to time I don't like the whole attitude (Fred Dursts one that is). Mr Mighty Himself....

4.Bjork : It's Oh So Quiet...catchy tune must be the only thing i enjoy listening to! The rest of her music just doesnt appeal to me!

5.Papa Roach : the angry teenager syndrome is repeated..oh no lets be mad at the world/ our parents/people cos we are so cool. Not to forget ripping off Lithium on some MTV Party (New Year).

6. Britney Spears : Emptying the pockets of little kids with semisweet tunes and tongue action. Surely that Madonna thing must have been one hell of a publicity stunt and what is even worse is that shit like that works! Kind of sad to see an artist selling stuff not even for her talents! I think a good team is behind her aswell (Producing/Editing/Marketing). What will soon be her next image?Britney brings Rock Classics..please man!

7.R&B Artists : Generalising I know...but the music doesn't appeal to me. Lots of booty doesn't make music good. Must be a culture gap!

8. Rap Artists : Even worse then R&B. Once again...swearing/bling bling/jumpy cars/booty does not make music good! While I respect the creativity of Eminem (and the cash he makes) I do not really enjoy listening to it.

9. William Hung : People buy it for the wrong reason...the guy has absolutly no talent. Passion yes but talent not at all sir!While we laugh at this guy he fills his pockets though!

10.Village People : While their few hits might be successful in certain dark alleys there is nothing right about this band. Just a bad joke that went wrong!

In no particular order, I dislike the following artists/bands because the sounds they make offends my ears.

I've come across some awful music, but none has reached the vomit-inducing level of my choice for the worst band of all time, which is none other than Busted. How these talentless hacks ever got a record deal is beyond me, and the fact that they're making so much money is a very sad reflection on the current state society is in.
