I stare people in the face when I hate them. Maybe she is like me. Hopefully not though.

Fredrik,
What's the context? Have you known her a long time, or only recently? Are you friends / on 'Hi and bye' terms or never spoken to her at all? Better yet, are u interested in her? If so, perhaps she is just feeling some wierd vibes from you? Have you even noticed her b4? More info please.

I have one question for you. Does it really matter?
I mean, if you plan on asking her to get jiggy with you that's one thing, but if you couldn't care less about her, so what.
There are people who have too little self esteem to look at people in the eye. I used to be that way, but in the professional world, you have to learn to get over that, cuz to be taken seriously, you have to be able to look people in the eye. One thing to confirm if she has a self-esteem problem is to watch her while she's walking. If she keeps her eyes to the ground without so much as looking up once in a while, that tell you something as well. Of course, in California everbody avoids looking at one another. We simply don't give a damn about eachother except when people are bombing us. Like Dennis Miller says...
"The real tactical mistake the terrorists made in trying to disrupt our society was that, in attacking us in such a monstrous public way, they brought us together. And if there's one thing we Americans have learned from decades of public beaches, traffic jams, and crowded shopping malls after Thanksgiving, it's that we hate being together. And that's why were gonna fight like hell to restore our God-given right to get the fuck out of each other's faces."
