I'd appreciate something different then getting a bunch of roses (which I think are overrated - sunflowers are my thing).

I believe that if you Love Someone You Should Show It To Them Every Opertunity You Get, Not Just One Day In The Year & in any case i can buy 10 Roses any time of the year for that Price of 1 over Valentines Day...

I use to buy my the Girl i like something for V'Day every year, some years there was more than one ...

Then i met a Girl That I Loved, Really Loved The 2 & 1/2 Months We Where Toghter, before she went away for a year, i made everyday i saw her as Special as possible!!! Giving her small things every now & then, leaving Reminders on her phone, a letter under a pillow, or a letter on the PC hidden in a place that she will be surprised when she eventualy finds it!

I can't say what i would have done for Valentines Day that year if she was in ZA, but i don't think it would have been something Spectacular it would most prob have been something simple like getting a box of Chocolate, couple of candels a blanket & a park or a room in the house with a portable radio & just sitting looking at the stars & talking the evening past...

I'm going to respond as a woman who for the past 35 years has received NOTHING, nada, zilch, zero for Valentine's day. This year will be different. Frankly, yeah, it is a rather trite holiday, but only trite because it seems that many women out there (whom I affectionately call bimbos) don't really appreciate the effort gone into something like roses, etc. When my guy told me he was getting me something, I cried. Valentine is a reminder of what is really important--love. For me, and for Megafox (yeah, I got him a Valentine gift too), its an opportunity to remind one another that we're each the most important thing in our lives.

Tomorrow, I'm to expect something very special. When I think of my guy taking time out of his day, and moreover MONEY OUT OF HIS POCKET, I cry. To give so much, that yes is merely a monetary demonstration of his love, confirms to me the amazing human being he is. To give, and to give in that manner makes me want to jump on the first plane to Duban and rock that man's world. If it weren't for the $$, I'd do it in the heart beat. For now, what I have of him is the Valentine's gift he'll give me. And him? He'll have a woman crying over 10,632 miles (17,110 km) away, waiting until she can show her love to him 365 days a year for the rest of her life.

LOL( at )andyddr. As a matter of fact, I don't. I have an older brother that is one year older than me, and a younger brother that is twenty years my junior (Yeah, mom had a second wind. LOL). However, I grew up around strong, rather irrational, opinionated women. I'm a pariah among women. There are others, even some in this board that can attest that to be a woman does NOT necessarily equal what I call the Princess Syndrome. I'm not a princess.
