A BASE formerly used to house nuclear missiles is up for sale on Ebay.
This is a far cry from last week's Ebay story about a banana.
According to the spec, the 57 acre site in Central Washington State, will withstand a one megaton blast within 3,000 feet, has its own private water supply, a constant unheated temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit, and has five levels below ground.
The site has a 360 degree view, and "few neighbors". An appointment is required to view the property which the vendor suggests could be used as a personal/corporate retreat or a world class winery. The missile silo could be used as a 100 foot swimming pool for Scuba training.
Bids currently stand at $3,950,000 which isn't bad, considering many London properties are far pokier and far more expensive.
