Okay

I need to get some nice songs for my Sisters 21st BDay Party, I have a lot of music but would like some suggestions as well so that I can make it grow even bigger, and make the music at the party even better!

Okay so what cool songs would you want to hear at a 21st and why?

Uhm, Its a Dance/Sokkie kind of party, She doesnt really know any music so basically i'm gonna play for her friends thats gonna be there :/ And I think you guys would rather be able to tell me what songs are hip for you guys than she would :/

Why don't you ask her friends who will be there ?

I dont know any Sokkie/Daaaaans music.

But I be if you had to pop down to pick n pay you could get "Treffers 15" or "Bok jol 23" at a good price.

Does anyone here know anybody who listens to that sort of crap? I dont mean to disrespect the afrikaans but the very worst kwaito is still 10x better than that earsore.
demon
No. I am 100% Afrikaans, raised on a Farm - and i would never ever listen to that stuff. In my life.

Never.

Its a disgrace as far as i am concerned.

There are some good afrikaans artists out there, eg. Theuns Jordaan. Very Leonard Cohen/Koos du Plessis-ish.

But the scary thing is that it must be selling ....

I mean if they were not there would not be such a variaty of it.

And advertising on tv isn't cheap either.

Must be a rebel faction of Nooit vir Nooit viewers buying these CDs in bulk.

Agreed - I am a huge fan of his.

Someone new that has entered the scene a while back is Pieter Smith. He plays at Firkin's Pub in Centurion on Tuesday nights.

I would rather burn my PC in a bondfire before I play that shit in Public.

Yeah, I actually know Theuns Jordaan and Pieter Smith personally as my Uncle is their Doctor, and they ARE DEFINATELY on my play list. But I dont mean DAAAAAANS treffers. I need some cool DANCE (English) or anything that just is Nice to listen too, give a crap bout sokkie though.
