As per the recent board e-mail we're giving away a gil payout to anyone who gets a friend to sign up to Vault9.

Once you and your friend both post in this thread you'll be credited with your payout plus you'll receive an instant revive if you happen to have been killed!

Note that this thread is for members participating in the 'Bring A Friend' initiative only: please keep other comments out.

So who wants some free cash? smile.gif

The program starts from today, so only new people signing up from today will receive the bonus.

I'm thinking around 2 000 gil? I haven't played for a while so I don't know what prices are like lately.

People like Gitano and Sadist have god knows how much - even LOM is pretty loaded

For newbies it's a lot isn't it?

How much would be reasonable?

Wouldn't you like to know? biggrin.gif

I think that 2000 Gil is fair for a newbie. Remember, there is still the Gil that they can get from fragging other newbies, as well as interest from the bank accounts, and then there is the lure of the Guilds who will PAY people to sign up. Also, the prices of those low level potions are low, so 2000 Gil, if used wisely, can go a loooooooooooooooooooooong way.

I think it should stay at 2K. The whole point of this IMHO oppinion should be to promote posting, not to be hey here is 50K gil go wild. Hope you post 1 day... 2K when starting out should be more than enough. Also, does this mean that you don't need 50 posts to play the game?

EDIT: who gets the gil? The person bringing the friend, or both? If it is both then it could get interesting, cause for instance 2K is a lot for a new player, but not for a player who has a high level...

Correctus.

I still feel that 2k is fair for a new player. If I could work my way up to where I am without a lotta Gil to start off with, then others can as well. AS I said before, 2k Gil can get you far if you use it wisely.
