Right, so after reading a couple of threads here that involved rape, murder, burglaries and other common events in South Africa, I decided to start a thread where we can all bitch and moan to our heart's content. That's right, rather than start a topic about how they jacked your car or how much you hate taxis, just come in here and let rip. It's in Fight Club too so you can shout and curse until you (hopefully) feel better. Personally I'd like to say a big "FUCK YOU" to the Communications Minister, Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri, for ass-fucking the country yet again by making sure no undersea cable will ever reach SA without being majority owned by local investors. There must be something that the citizens of this country can do?
Surely? As a "democratically" elected government, surely the citizens of the country can remove them from power? It's pretty obvious to any one that looks at this country that after 13years the ANC hasn't done anything to improve the country? If anything we've lapsed backwards several steps. The economy has declined. Crime has sky rocketed. Aids is rampant and actively killing the population. We have multiple inept ministers. BEE clearly isn't working. C'mon, surely there must be something we can do?! |

Right, another round of bitching for me. Both are big middle fingers to our incompetent police force.
Firstly, my mom was mugger INSIDE Pick 'n Pay on Saturday. The bastards jacked her bag, phone and purse in the middle of her grocery shopping. There was bugger-all security present and the scum got away without hassle. It took hours for the police to respond so it's damn fortunate it was a mugging and not a bloody gang rape. Second, my roommate gets a gun stuck in his face yesterday for interrupting a hijacking. He saw a guy leaning into the window of another dude's bakkie which was blocking the driveway to the complex he was visiting, and when he called out he window for the guy to move he turned around with a damn gun in his hand. Fortunately he quickly reversed away and went off to find a cop. He returned minutes later and the useless bloody cops let the criminals escape. They didn't even bother to chase them either. I know this country has gone completely to shit, what with men raping infants and people being tortured in their own homes, but can we not even do our shopping in peace, or pull into our 'secure' complexes without watching our backs? FUCK YOU SAP/METRO. Maybe if you spread the manpower out to the streets in search of hijackers, muggers and rapists instead of sticking most of them at fucking speed cameras or roadblocks we wouldn't have to live in perpetual fear. Screw this, next year I'm buying a gun as a birthday present to myself. Next motherfucker who tries to make me a statistic will crawl away with no kneecaps and half a testicle. |

I got this mail yesterday. And while I do not put much stock into e-mails, this is pretty plausable: QUOTE Ladies be careful as we enter the HOLIDAY SEASON and spend more time at shopping malls. Don't be surprised to see a naked woman walking out of a shopping mall restroom: With what is being called amazing regularity, victims of this new crime wave have been found walking out of shopping mall restrooms completely naked. The scam begins when a man slips into a women's restroom and sneaks into a stall. He waits until there is only one woman in the restroom in a neighboring stall. He then quickly puts an out of order sign on the outside of the restroom door. The out of order sign guarantees no one will soon come to the woman's rescue. The criminal stands on the toilet and points a handgun into the next stall, demanding the woman's valuables binding her hands and mouth, and RAPING HER. After getting her cash, jewellery and credit cards, he orders her to remove all of her clothing and kick them out of the stall. The thief tosses the clothing into a shopping bag, and slips back into the mall. It usually takes an hour or two for the woman to work up the nerve to leave the restroom in the nude, giving the criminal ample time to make his get away. The woman is eventually left naked and humiliated in a mall full of strangers. Main targeted areas include · Gateway - 1 incident - 1 criminal - woman valuables taken · La Lucia - 3 incidents - 2 criminals - 3 women valuables taken 1 raped · Pavilion - 1 incident - 1 criminal - woman raped · Sanlam Centre - 1 incident - 1 criminal - woman hijacked · Cresta Mall - 4 incidents - 2 criminals - 3 women valuables taken - 1 raped · South Gate Mall - 9 incidents - 4 criminals - 3 women valuables taken - 6 raped · The Glen Mall - 4 incidents - 2 women valuables taken - 2 raped · Sandton Mall - 5 incidents - 2 criminals - 3 women valuables taken - 4 raped The best defense is to never go into a shopping mall restroom alone, as only women who are by themselves are being targeted. Take a lady friend or a family member with. If you do find yourself in this situation, do not be passive. Make as much noise as possible. These criminals are looking for quiet victims so they can make an easy escape. Be careful out there this holiday season, and all year. This has so far been a nearly perfect crime, as none of the perpetrators have been caught. Don't let this happen to another woman. Yeah, a friend told he about how her friend got raped in the parking area at Centurion Mall - at around 19h00 no less. |

Yeah, someone alerted me about this hoax today, but fuck, in a country where people get robbed in their own houses, and husbands are forced to watch as their wives are raped, for how much longer will it be a hoax?
