Rented this series last week and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was actually. The story follows Studio 60 (in the vein of SNL) and its behind the scenes story. The series stars Matthew Perry (in a less zany character than Friends), Amanda Peet (good looking and acting) and Bradley Whitford (who was previously unknown to me but now is in my favourite actors list) and many more (previously to me) unknown actors who bring their best. But for some reason they cancelled this show when it was just getting good which resulted in (what I think) weak finale (oddly enough it followed a very strong 3 part episode). Overall, its sweet, funny, sharp, dramatic and really a shame of a good run seeing as it was cancelled. Anyone else seen this show? -------------------- Locke: If it's not real, then what are you doing here, Jack? Why did you come back? Why do you find it so hard to believe? Jack: Why do you find it so easy? Locke: It's never been easy! |

Seen the first 20 eps. Loved it.
I watched when I could actually identify with poor Matthew Perry's character :-( This post has been edited by Carrots: Sep 8 2008, 12:43 AM |

Actually the dynamic between him and his partner (Danny Tripp if I am not mistaken) is really classic.
