I've got quite a few smilies withh me that am not doing anything with, is there any way that it could get put on V9. Should i email them to Creation or someone

they would need to be the same size, colour and characteistics as the current ones.

Nothing worse than a forum with different smilies from yahoo, aim, msn etc etc

I vote no, it gives people more opportunity to post replies with just one useless smiley.

Besides, no one really uses the whole bunch of them that we have anyway.

They are the same color as the regular ones and some of them are from the ifskinzone.net

I have no need to play devil's advocate, and my reason is perfectly valid. I'm offering my opinion as a long time member of this (and other boards), and I vote no. How can you justify the addition of extra smilies when you only use a fraction of the ones currently available?

It would worry me if you can't express yourself with the 100+ smilies we already have.

Im afraid Im with Rusty, we have a fat load of smiley's already, I don't see the need for any more!

Yeah I know what you guys mean, Even though I use smileys, I dont think that adding more crap for everyones inet connections to deal with is a great idea.

They don't take that long to load. and if you don't use them all, then you can simply use the small list.

I agree. Given v9's nice clean look, I dont think those ew looking ones will fit in with the current feel and look of the forums. I think if there is going to be discussion of including other smilies, then it should be put to the vote for the V9 members to decide and the proposed smilies should be posted in a separate thread so that all members can see what it would look like against the V9 backdrop/within the V9 interface (whatever way you want to say it). Since this is our space for expression, we should be able to contribute to the deciding of which tools to use in that expression.

i disagree people use them a lot. It shows emotion in posts that other wise with out a face could be taken the wrong way.

I don't need to see the stuff, I simply don't see the point in adding more smilies when:

A) People don't even use a fraction of the ones we already have
B) You can express yourself more than sufficiently with 100+ smilies

Shi-shi makes a valid point too: we don't want the board looking like the inside of a whore's handbag, or a christmas tree on acid. Thousands of multi-coloured smilies are tacky and unnecessary.

Bleh, at this rate we won't even need to type anything to get a point across.

And Renegade, we are not acting like 'bums': a lot of the opinions above come from V9 veterans, and I for one can tell you that I've never seen the average user make use of more than a handful of smilies. I'm not saying we don't use them, I'm saying that we don't actually need more to express ourselves.

Rusty, I understand where you are coming from however... What is the problem with him showing us what he has? We can then decide on whether they fit in with the rest of the smilies. We can also then decide as a group if we should add them.

If they are the same, size and colour as our current ones why not add them? They may get used, they may not. I don't see anyone ever complain that all the ones we have now are not used??
