I can understand the division in restaurants of smoking and non-smoking areas. Even malls being non-smoking I understand. But all public places? Like on the street, or the open air. Hell no. Granted, my smoking habits are legendary amongst those who know me, so I may be biased.
But I smoke in smoking areas, the open air or my house. Smoking areas, well, if you don't like smoke what the fuck are you doing in there? Open air it doesn't harm anyone but me and I pay a lot of money to kill myself, and in my house? Well, I can do what I want there. And CAB, ban it completely? There can't even be a justification for attempting it. Hehe, that would kill this country. The government is so dependent on taxes from cigarettes that they would never dream of doing it either. -------------------- Just because no one else has done it, doesn't make it a bad idea!

QUOTE Smoking areas, well, if you don't like smoke what the fuck are you doing in there? haha, so true. We went out for breakfast on Sunday and sat in the non smoking section. I decide to go have a smoke and some stupid ass parents had dumped their kids in the smoking section whilst they sat outside Was i supposed to feel guilty? Fuck knows but i still sat back and enjoyed my smoke -------------------- "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Thomas A. Edison |

Fight for your rights millennia
I'm sticking to the libertarian viewpoint: do whatever you want, and grant others the same privilege. It's your house/garden/crack den, you should be able to smoke freely if you so choose. -------------------- |

If I had my way and I smoke a crapload, I would choose to have every cigarette and production line taken out completely I.e. worldwide ban everywhere.
Maybe then I could give up -------------------- Too Cool

I like the way the ban in SA is now. Maybe also ban it within 5m from entrances.
Oh, and of course, children under the age of 16 should be banned from smoking areas. I HATE seeing moms with their babies in a smoking area where you can SEE the air. Irresponsible bitches! |

QUOTE Like Eddie Izzard said: "Hmmm, so they've banned smoking in bars in California!?! What's next? No drinking, no talking!?! Hey, let's go to the library for a great party!" He He I''m not talking about a BLANKET BAN just in public places - like malls, stores etc. Well bahrain has no bars anyway! Well i think that banning smoking outdoors can only be a change for the better - less passive smoking problems etc. |

Nukes, outdoors means where it's not enclosed. It's not malls and that, it's the streets, the parks etc

I think outdoors the smoke is diluted so much it makes no difference. There are more crap in the air because of cars and factories than what the few smokers push into it.

Smoking is the worst habit a person can have as it is not only affecting the person but also affecting people around. So smoking ban in public places should strictly be followed and offenders should be strictly dealt with. I can understand that this ban is harsh on smokers but even they need to understand that their habit is killing others. Best luck to all those who want to give up smoking. -------------------- Chantix is FDA approved drug.
