depends what your budget range is
for a little over 2k a ati's 4850 is the best mid range card on the market for over 8k then nvidia 295 is the best on the market... given ATI's 4850 the best value for money that card can out perform NVidia's 9800gt's and 9600's in most benchmarks but then it also depends on the size of your monitor and what resolution and what you use the card for. -------------------- Jou ma se Balhara, I'm classified as a coloured!

yeah, gotta agree with fishfly. ATI's 4850 packs a lot of punch for just over R2K. If you game at more than 1280x1024 then look at getting the ATI 4870, also a very good card. but then it all depends on budget and ATI have a firm hold on the mid range (read: budget) cards.
