Has anyone read PCFormat's review on the Intel Larrabee? 330003DMarks for R1000? Yes please! Even on a pre production model with crude drivers! I can't see a downside. One thing puzzles me though - apparently Intel have named the card the "Intel i April Fools." Is this true or have I fallen for a sick joke? -------------------- I can has gluten free cookie?
My specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 | MOBO: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 rev. 3.3 | RAM: 2GB Kingston DDR2 | GRAPHICS CARD: Gigabyte GV-NX86S256H 8600GTS 256MB RAM | SOUND CARD: VIA Envy24 Tremor | HDD: Seagate ST3104AS 250GB 8MB cache 7200RPM |

If I'm correct AMD/ATI is moving in the direction of Fusion which combines processing of GPU and CPU into one... now Nvidia has started the same trend in an attempt to create a new CPU which they Intel is not happy about...
So I guess ATI/AMD has a big head start over Intel and Nvidia... soon we'll see Intel vs Nvidia vs AMD/ATI Great news for the consumers \o/ here's more details: http://arstechnica.com/hardware/news/2007/...bee-part-ii.ars -------------------- Jou ma se Balhara, I'm classified as a coloured!

Well I can't wait for that card to come out, even if the competition comes out with something better, I'm quite certain they won't sell their products for R1000.

definately won't be the more companies there are producing a combination of CPU/GPU the better the quality of the product... it's called consumerism something SA lacks!
