Hi all Today I found a few registry tweaks for XP that supposedly improve performance. So I set a restore point and tried a few of them out. Problem is, after I applied them, any 3D app I ran geave me half the FPS I normally get. First thing I do is restore to before the reg tweaks. No change. Uninstalling and reinstalling the NVIDIA 182.02 Drivers boosted my 3DMark06 score from 3100 to 3500. Normally I get 6100. Is this because of the reg tweaks or is it because my card is 2 years and a few months old? -------------------- I can has gluten free cookie?

when did you run the 3dmark? was it a clean install of windows? remember the more crap you install on your system effectivelly uses your memory which does affect your 3d mark score

nope the longer you keep your system running the more memory you will use... for a cleanly formatted system that doesn't have 200 programs open/loaded you will indeed get a higher score
