Just received my copy of the relatively new documentary about the hacking culture called
H4ck4s Are People Too, and after watching it I must say I am very impressed smile.gif

It shows a look into the hacker culture unlike any documentaries I've seen before and is quite
informative.

I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in computers, which should be everyone here.

If you've seen it already, let everyone else know what you thought of it.

Believe it or not I actually bought it legally wink.gif

First DVD I've ever bought actually, got a good deal on a few of them for my LAN so I got to keep one.

Not even sure if you can find it online, last time I looked I found nothing.

I think he was trying to avoid the touchy topic of being able to post stuff about his possibly wink.gif pirated/rented DVD's. I wonders why the board guidelines dont have anything expressly against it other than links to "wares (pirate software)"?

Does that mean we can get advice on how to pirate dvds's on the forum? tongue.gif

People do still use video stores to rent DVDs wink.gif DC++ wouldn't exactly be renting anything.

But anyway this off topic conversation shouldn't go on forever, especially from forum admin :-P

I generally avoid shows about hackers because the show tries to sensationalize the whole "hacking thing"

I lose interest most of the time when they do that.

Strange, I didn't get notified about the replies here.

It's more about the social aspect of it, like the conferences and stuff like. It's different which made it fun smile.gif

It didn't seem to me as if she was sensationalizing it in the movie.
