After reading "I Have a New Favourite Web Browser" I've been a devoted follower of Flock (for all of two days).

Essentially it's Firefox with a whole bunch of extensions, specifically geared toward social networking e.g. Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, etc. It also has built-in blogging, RSS and photo uploading features.

You can read further on the official site or have a look at "A Newbie's Guide to Flock".

Be sure to grab the 1.0 beta BTW!

I installed it, but I haven't really used it. It looks a bit different, but I will give it a try before I decide if I like it or not...

I'm also not a toolbar fan but the menu bars in Flock work like the bookmark/history bars in Firefox: they pop up out of the way only when you want them to.

If you don't use Facebook or YouTube and you're not interested in blogging and such I wouldn't recommend Flock. Stick with Firefox, as Flock is essentially Firefox with a social networking makeover.
