So, anyone going to attend any games? I was supposed to collect my tickets for the Italy vs USA game scheduled for June the 15th at Loftus, but got the "the network is down" response when I went on Saturday. Pretty shoddy stuff, but hey, this is South Africa. Gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. Pretoria is looking pretty sweet with all the signs and such going up for the event. -------------------- "Bigotry and hatred are enemies to us all. I was going to go watch a game or two, but the teams that are playing in Johannesburg don't interest me at all

meh, my father in law has a box at loftus so i was gonna go watch there. He now tells me that he's having a dispute regarding the previous tenants and nobody is allowed to use the box until the dispute is sorted
Oh and my mum won tickets to the opening ceremony/game yesterday... -------------------- "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Thomas A. Edison |

Apart from the replays regarding fouls and penalties given being banned on the screens at the stadiums, and the highly annoying constant noise from the vuvuzelas, it was a great experience. I'll be collecting tickets for the semi-final at Ellis Park next week tonight.

I was wondering about that....
strange why they refuse to play it... but I guess the ref's can use that to judge a call they may/maynot have missed... I mean come on the way Altidere dived to get that penalty against Italy was blatent... he runs get's kicked and turn, step then fall over... great dive there |

I think that ban the replays at the stadiums in order to avoid any riots from happening. Gotta hand it to Bafana though - they played a pretty decent game against Brazil. I expected them to get thrashed. If they had better finishers, they could have won that game... Here's hoping to the vuvuzela getting BANNED for the World Cup!!! |
